Key Responsibilities

- Design and develop automation systems for industrial machines and special-purpose machinery.

- Prepare electrical control panel designs, control circuit diagrams, wiring diagrams, I/O lists, and electrical schematics.

- Develop and review automation architecture based on machine requirements.

- Select appropriate PLC, HMI, VFD, servo drives, sensors, relays, switches, motors, safety devices, and other automation components.

- Prepare Bill of Materials (BOM) and technical specifications for automation-related components.

- Develop and modify PLC/HMI programs and coordinate with automation programmers for machine commissioning.

- Integrate PLC, HMI, VFD, servo systems, sensors, actuators, pneumatic systems, and other automation equipment.

- Support development and implementation of machine sequence logic, interlocks, alarms, and safety functions.

- Review machine functionality and identify opportunities for improving automation, productivity, reliability, and cycle time.

- Coordinate with Mechanical Design, Production, Electrical, Purchase, Quality, and Service teams for successful project execution.

- Review automation requirements, customer specifications, and project drawings.

- Participate in FAT, SAT, machine testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting activities.

- Identify and resolve automation-related issues during machine assembly, testing, installation, and commissioning.

- Provide technical support to production, service, and maintenance teams whenever required.

- Maintain proper documentation of electrical drawings, PLC programs, HMI programs, BOMs, manuals, and project-related technical documents.





- Ensure automation designs comply with applicable industrial safety standards and company quality requirements.

- Evaluate new automation technologies and recommend suitable solutions for improving machine performance.

- Guide and support junior design/automation engineers and technicians.

- Ensure assigned projects are completed within defined quality, cost, and delivery timelines.

Required Technical Skills

- Robust knowledge of Industrial Automation and Control Systems.

- Good understanding of PLC, HMI, VFD, Servo Drives, Sensors, Actuators, and Industrial Communication.

- Knowledge of PLC programming and troubleshooting.

- Experience in electrical/control panel design and electrical schematics.

- Knowledge of AutoCAD Electrical / EPLAN or equivalent electrical design software.

- Understanding of pneumatics and electro-pneumatic systems.

- Knowledge of industrial communication protocols such as Ethernet/IP, Modbus, Profibus/Profinet, etc.

- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and machine layouts.

- Good knowledge of machine safety, interlocking, emergency circuits, and safety devices.

- Ability to troubleshoot automation systems independently.

Educational Qualification

- B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Automation, Mechatronics, or a related engineering discipline.

Experience

- 4–8 years of relevant experience in industrial automation, machine automation, special-purpose machines, or manufacturing equipment.

- Experience in machine building / OEM / automation projects will be preferred.

Pay: ₹500,000.00 - ₹700,000.00 per year
