Position: SPMT Operator

Industry: Project Logistics / Heavy Lift / Heavy Haulage

Location: Nigeria / Project Site

Employment: Project-based / Full-time

Key Responsibilities

- Operate Self-Propelled Modular Transporter (SPMT) for transportation of heavy and oversized cargo.
- Execute loading, unloading, shifting, positioning and precise maneuvering of heavy modules and equipment.
- Operate SPMT safely in coordination with Site Supervisors, Engineers, Riggers, Crane Operators and Marine/Transport teams.
- Follow approved method statements, lifting/transport plans and site safety procedures.
- Conduct pre-operation inspection of SPMT, hydraulic systems, steering, brakes and other critical components.
- Maintain proper communication with the SPMT supervisor and operation team during movement.
- Carry out accurate positioning of modules at the required location.
- Report equipment abnormalities, unsafe conditions and operational issues immediately.
- Maintain operational records and comply with project HSE requirements.

Candidate Requirements

- Minimum 7–15 years of hands-on SPMT operating experience.
- Experience with heavy lift / heavy haulage / project cargo operations.




- Experience operating modular SPMT systems such as Scheuerle, Goldhofer, Kamag or equivalent.
- Good understanding of SPMT configuration, axle lines, hydraulic suspension and steering systems.
- Ability to understand basic transport drawings and follow approved movement plans.
- Solid knowledge of site safety procedures and HSE requirements.
- Experience in petrochemical, refinery, LNG, power, infrastructure or similar large-scale projects will be an advantage.
- Valid operator certification/licence, where applicable.
- Physically fit and willing to work on project sites and extended shifts.

- Heavy module transportation
- Refinery / petrochemical projects / LNG projects
- Offshore/onshore project logistics
- Roll-on / roll-off operations
- Multi-axle hydraulic transportation

will be preferred. Pay: ₹90,000.00 - ₹591,781.84 per year
