Role Description

Job Title: Specialist - Software Engineering

Location: Bengaluru / Chennai

We are currently seeking a seasoned Specialist - Software Engineering with a passion for technology and innovative solutions. The ideal candidate has a strong background in Java, Microservices, Java SpringBoot and Docker. This role requires the ability to design and implement software solutions, as well as collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams in a fast-paced, agile setting. This role will be based in our Bengaluru office.

Responsibilities

- Development of software functionalities including user-interface capabilities, design implementation, developer level tests, and support.
- Participate in the development of a complex web-based architecture for large-scale organizations.
- Develop software features according to design documents and enterprise software standards.
- Design and develop deployment strategies across multiple platforms, databases, and application servers.
- Work and collaborate in multidisciplinary agile teams, adopting agile spirit, methodology, and tools.
- Collaborate with team members in UI development activities.
- Participate in daily standup, production deployment call, and sprint retrospective call.
- Create low-level design documents (LLD) if required, create tasks and assign them to developers.




- Ensure that development is in line with requirements.
- Create Request for Changes (RFCs) and participate in the change management process for approvals.
- Collaborate with DevOps and ePaas teams for code release.
- Coordinate the production deployment call.
- Participate in user stories grooming sessions.
- Track dependencies within the team and with external teams in GBT.

Requirements

- A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in the Software Product industry.
- A minimum of 2 years development experience in Java J2EE.
- Strong experience with Java Spring Boot, Microservices, React JS.
- Extensive experience with Multithreading, OOPS, Data Structures, Design Pattern.
- Experience with continuous integration and Maven.
- Experience working on cloud platforms; AWS preferred.
- Proven experience in operating within a global workplace.
- Self-motivated, fast learner with a strong sense of ownership and drive.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with Docker will be an added advantage.
