About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Solutions Architect to design scalable, secure, and reliable technology solutions across web, mobile, backend services, databases, and third-party integrations.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on engineering experience combined with solution architecture or technical leadership experience. You will work closely with Product, Engineering, QA, DevOps, and external technology partners to translate business requirements into practical technical solutions and guide implementation.

Roles & Responsibilities

- Translate business and product requirements into solution architectures, system workflows, and technical specifications.
- Design solutions across mobile applications, web portals, backend services, databases, and third-party platforms.
- Define API contracts, data mappings, authentication methods, and integration responsibilities.
- Design systems for scalability, performance, security, availability, and maintainability.




- Evaluate technology options and communicate trade-offs, implementation effort, dependencies, and operating costs.
- Work with Product Managers and Engineering Leads to convert solution designs into clear development tasks.
- Review technical implementations and guide developers on architecture, integration patterns, and complex engineering challenges.
- Develop prototypes and proofs of concept to validate technical approaches before full implementation.
- Design for failure scenarios, including timeouts, retries, duplicate transactions, intermittent connectivity, and recovery.
- Collaborate with QA and DevOps teams on testing, deployment, monitoring, and release readiness.
- Investigate complex production issues and recommend solutions that address underlying technical causes.
- Maintain architecture diagrams, integration specifications, technical standards, and architecture decision records.
- Assess existing systems for technical debt, duplication, and reliability gaps and develop prioritised improvement plans.
- Coordinate directly with external technology providers to resolve technical questions and integration dependencies.

Qualifications & Experience

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline,



or equivalent practical experience.
- Typically 7+ years of software engineering experience, including 2+ years in Solution Architecture or equivalent technical leadership.
- Proven experience designing and delivering production systems across web, mobile, and backend services.
- Robust understanding of REST APIs, service integration, asynchronous processing, and distributed-system concepts.
- Experience with relational and non-relational databases, data modelling, and system integration.
- Practical knowledge of cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, observability, and deployment patterns.
- Understanding of application security, access control, sensitive-data handling, and recovery planning.
- Ability to review code, troubleshoot implementation issues, and develop technical prototypes.
- Strong documentation, problem-solving, analytical, and stakeholder communication skills.
- Ability to make practical technical decisions while balancing delivery timelines with long-term system requirements.

Preferred Experience

- Fintech, payments, digital wallets, or transaction-processing systems.
- Wearables, IoT platforms, or applications operating with intermittent connectivity.
- Multi-tenant platforms and enterprise integrations.
- Modernisation of existing systems while maintaining live production services.
