Role Overview

We are looking for a Solar Projects Draftsman – Civil & Structure to prepare detailed civil and structural drawings for ground-mounted solar PV projects. The role will support the Engineering and Projects teams in developing accurate, construction-ready drawings for project execution.

Key Responsibilities

· Prepare detailed civil and structural drawings for ground-mounted solar PV projects using AutoCAD and relevant drafting software.

· Develop module mounting structure (MMS) layouts, foundation drawings, structural detailing, pile layouts, and installation drawings.

· Prepare drawings for site grading, roads, drainage, fencing, equipment foundations, inverter/transformer foundations, cable trenches, and other civil works.

· Prepare detailed layouts for module rows, pile locations, structure arrangements, access roads, internal pathways, and equipment areas.

· Develop drawings based on site surveys, engineering designs, soil investigation reports, project specifications, and approved structural designs.

· Coordinate with Civil/Structural Engineers and Project Teams to incorporate design requirements and site conditions.

· Prepare and update drawings based on site changes, design modifications, and construction requirements.





· Prepare as-built drawings reflecting actual site execution.

· Review drawings for dimensions, levels, quantities, constructability, and alignment with approved engineering designs.

· Coordinate with Electrical Draftsmen/Engineers to ensure proper integration of civil, structural, and electrical layouts.

· Maintain proper drawing revision control, documentation, and project drawing records.

· Provide drawing support to site teams during construction and resolve drafting-related requirements.

Required Qualifications & Skills

· Diploma / Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or relevant technical qualification.

· 3–5 years of relevant experience, preferably in solar EPC / renewable energy / infrastructure projects.

· Hands-on experience in ground-mounted solar projects will be preferred.

· Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and civil/structural drafting.

· Good understanding of MMS, foundations, piling, structural layouts, site development, roads, drainage, fencing, and solar plant civil works.

· Ability to read and interpret civil, structural, architectural, and engineering drawings.

· Good understanding of site measurements, levels, dimensions, and construction drawings.

· Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

· Valuable coordination skills with Engineering and Project Execution teams.

Preferred Experience

Experience in utility-scale ground-mounted solar projects, fixed-tilt/tracker structures, pile/foundation layouts, solar plant infrastructure, and detailed construction drawings will be preferred.
