Solar Technician – Electrical, Structure & Civil Work Company: Wave Power Location: Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh Job Type: Full-Time About the Role Wave Power is looking for a skilled Solar Technician with hands-on experience in solar PV installation, electrical wiring, solar module structure installation, foundation work, and basic civil work. The technician will be responsible for installation, testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance of On-Grid, Off-Grid, and Hybrid Solar Power Systems .

Key Responsibilities: Install and commission On-Grid, Off-Grid, and Hybrid solar power systems . Perform DC and AC electrical wiring for solar PV systems. Install solar panels, inverter, batteries, DCDB, ACDB, earthing and protection systems.

Carry out proper MC4 connector crimping, cable dressing, termination, and testing . Install and align solar module mounting structures on rooftops and ground-mounted sites. Handle solar structure fabrication, drilling, cutting, leveling, and fixing work.

Perform foundation and basic civil work required for ground-mounted solar structures. Mark locations and prepare foundations according to the required structure layout. Ensure proper module alignment, structure strength, tilt, and orientation.

Perform cable laying, conduit installation, cable tray work, and proper cable management. Carry out earthing and lightning protection installation as required. Assist in inverter configuration, system testing, synchronization, and commissioning.

Identify and troubleshoot electrical, wiring, inverter, battery, and generation-related issues. Conduct preventive maintenance and repair work at solar installation sites. Follow electrical safety procedures, PPE requirements, and site safety standards.

Maintain proper installation quality and complete assigned work within project timelines.

Required





SkillsStrong practical knowledge of solar electrical wiring . Hands-on experience with solar panel and mounting structure installation . Knowledge of On-Grid, Off-Grid, and Hybrid solar systems .

Experience in solar foundation and basic civil work . Knowledge of DC/AC cable sizing, termination, MC4 connectors, and electrical protection. Ability to use basic electrical and construction tools. Ability to read basic electrical diagrams and solar installation drawings.

Good understanding of earthing, ACDB/DCDB, MCB/MCCB, SPD, isolators, and related protection equipment. Ability to work at heights and on rooftops when required. Ability to work independently as well as with a site installation team.

Qualification & ExperienceITI/Diploma in Electrician, Electrical, Solar, or related trade preferred. 1–3 years of practical experience in solar installation preferred. Candidates with robust hands-on experience in solar electrical, structure, and civil work may also be considered based on skills.

CandidateWe are looking for a hands-on technician , not just someone with theoretical knowledge. Candidates who can independently handle solar wiring structure installation foundation/civil work system commissioning will be preferred. Job RequirementsWillingness to travel to customer/project sites.

Ability to work outdoors and in different weather conditions. Physically fit for installation and construction-related work. Responsible, punctual, and safety-conscious. Good communication and teamwork skills.

Salary ₹12,000 – ₹15,000 per month , depending on experience, technical skills, and interview performance.

Experience in solar installation and commissioning may qualify for a higher salary.
