Role Description The Software Engineer will work full time on-site in Kochi, contributing to the design, development, and maintenance of software systems that support Jewelry Television®’s digital and e-commerce operations. Day-to-day responsibilities include writing clean, efficient code, implementing back-end features and APIs, integrating databases and third-party services, and troubleshooting technical issues.

The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams such as product, QA, and design to deliver secure, scalable, and high-performing applications.

The Software

Engineer will participate in code reviews, follow established development standards, and help improve tools, processes,



and system architecture. This position also requires staying current with industry best practices and emerging technologies relevant to retail and media platforms.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in Computer Science, including algorithms, data structures, and software engineering principles.
- Proficiency in Software Development and Programming, with experience in at least one modern programming language Java, Microservices & Relational Databases.
- Hands-on experience in Back-End Web Development, including RESTful APIs, server-side frameworks, and database integration.
- Practical knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts and their application in designing maintainable, modular code.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and team-oriented development workflows.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms, containerization, or CI/CD pipelines is beneficial.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in an on-site, team-oriented environment.
