About the Role

CreditSea is looking for a Software Developer to join our engineering team and contribute to building and scaling our fintech products. The ideal candidate is a strong Node.js/JavaScript/TypeScript developer who is comfortable working across the stack, enjoys solving real-world engineering problems, and is excited to build reliable, scalable systems in a fast-paced startup environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable backend/full-stack applications using Node.js, JavaScript/TypeScript
- Build and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices powering lending, credit, and financial products
- Work closely with product, data science, and QA teams to integrate ML model outputs into production systems
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following best engineering practices
- Optimize applications for performance, scalability, and reliability




- Work with MongoDB for schema design, query optimization, and data modeling
- Deploy, monitor, and manage services on AWS (EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS/DynamoDB, CloudWatch, etc.)
- Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and agile ceremonies
- Debug and resolve production issues in a timely manner
- Ensure security and compliance best practices, especially given the sensitivity of financial/credit data

Required Skills & Qualifications

- 1–3 years of professional experience as a Software Developer
- Strong proficiency in Node.js, JavaScript, and TypeScript
- Experience with MongoDB or other NoSQL databases
- Working knowledge of AWS cloud services
- Exposure to integrating or consuming ML models in application workflows
- Solid understanding of REST API design and microservices architecture
- Familiarity with Git and version-controlled collaborative development
- Good understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design principles
- Robust problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment

Good to Have

- Experience with CI/CD pipelines
- Familiarity with Docker/Kubernetes
- Understanding of financial/lending domain concepts (credit scoring, loan lifecycle, KYC, etc.)
- Experience with message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ, SQS)
