Overall Objectives of job We are looking for a motivated Cloud Database Engineer to join our infrastructure team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining critical database services running on AWS. You will work closely with the team to ensure high availability, performance, and security of our database landscape.
Responsibilities
Provisioning & Configuration: Set up and configure managed database services (Aurora PostgreSQL, Aurora MySQL, ElastiCache Redis, MongoDB) using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
Performance Tuning: Monitor, analyze, and optimize database performance to meet application requirements and SLAs
Troubleshooting: Investigate and resolve database-related incidents, connectivity issues, and performance bottlenecks
Patching & Upgrades:
Plan and execute database engine patching and version upgrades with minimal downtime
Automation: Develop and maintain Terraform modules and CI/CD pipelines for database infrastructure deployments
Documentation: Maintain runbooks, architecture diagrams, and operational documentation
Collaboration: Work with application teams to support schema design, query optimization, and capacity planning
