We are seeking a highly experienced Software Architect / Principal Software Architect with 15+ years of software engineering experience and deep expertise in C++, C#, .NET, and WPF. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing and architecting large-scale enterprise and industrial software platforms, leading technical teams, and driving architecture decisions across complex engineering programs.

This role will be responsible for defining software architecture, technology strategy, scalability, performance optimization, and technical governance for next-generation semiconductor equipment and automation solutions. The architect will collaborate closely with global engineering teams, product management, system architects, and leadership stakeholders to build high-performance, reliable, and maintainable software systems.

Key Responsibilities

- Define and drive the overall software architecture and technical roadmap for enterprise-scale applications.
- Lead architecture and design reviews across multiple product lines and engineering teams.
- Design highly scalable, distributed, and high-performance software solutions using C++, C#, .NET, and WPF.
- Architect complex multithreaded, concurrent, and real-time systems with a focus on reliability and performance.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to senior engineers and development teams.
- Establish software engineering standards, coding practices, design patterns, and architectural governance.
- Drive application modernization, performance optimization, and technology adoption initiatives.
- Architect solutions integrating software with hardware systems, instrumentation, motion control systems, sensors, and industrial automation platforms.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Systems, Electrical, Mechanical, and Process Engineering.
- Lead technical risk analysis, architectural assessments, and strategic technology decisions.
- Review and approve high-level and low-level design documents.
- Support customer escalations and provide architecture-level troubleshooting for critical issues.




- Participate in product strategy discussions and long-term technology planning.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
- 15+ years of software development experience, including significant architecture and technical leadership responsibilities.
- Strong expertise in Modern C++ (C++11/14/17/20).
- Extensive experience in C#, .NET Framework, and .NET Core/.NET.
- Deep experience with WPF, MVVM, and enterprise desktop application architecture.
- Proven experience architecting large-scale software systems and mission-critical applications.
- Strong expertise in multithreading, concurrency, synchronization, and asynchronous programming.
- Solid understanding of software architecture patterns, design principles, and system integration.
- Experience leading geographically distributed engineering teams.
- Strong knowledge of performance optimization, memory management, and system scalability.
- Experience with source control and DevOps platforms such as Git, Azure DevOps, GitHub, or similar.
- Excellent communication, leadership, stakeholder management, and mentoring skills.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience in Semiconductor Equipment, Inspection Systems, Metrology, Lithography, Manufacturing Automation, or Industrial Systems.
- Experience designing software platforms that integrate with:
- Motion Control Systems
- Cameras and Vision Systems
- Sensors and Instrumentation
- Robotics and Factory Automation Equipment

- Experience with cloud-connected industrial applications.
- Knowledge of AI/ML integration within industrial software platforms.
- Experience with SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or other enterprise databases.
- Exposure to CI/CD, DevOps, automated testing, and software quality frameworks.
- Knowledge of SEMI standards and semiconductor manufacturing workflows.
- Experience with microservices, distributed systems, and up-to-date software architecture methodologies.
