Role & responsibilities
Source and procure raw materials and components for wiring harness production.
Handle RFQs, supplier quotations, commercial negotiations, and price comparisons.
Develop and maintain solid relationships with suppliers and vendors.
Coordinate with Production, PPC, Stores, and Quality departments for material planning and requirements.
Ensure timely delivery of materials as per production schedules.
Monitor inventory levels and avoid shortages or excess stock situations.
Identify alternate suppliers and support cost reduction initiatives through localization and value engineering.
Track purchase orders, delivery schedules, and pending materials.
Resolve supplier issues related to quality, delivery delays, shortages, and logistics.
Maintain procurement records, MIS reports, and ERP updates.
Ensure compliance with ISO/IATF standards and company procurement policies.
Support supplier audits, performance evaluations, and continuous improvement activities.
Monitor market trends and raw material price fluctuations for strategic purchasing decisions.

Vendor management and supplier development
Robust negotiation and communication skills
Knowledge of procurement cycle and inventory control
Understanding of BOM, MRP, and sourcing processes
ERP/SAP knowledge preferred
Positive analytical and cost comparison skills
MS Excel proficiency
Problem-solving and follow-up capability
