ROLE PURPOSE The Site Engineer shall be responsible for planning, coordinating and controlling day-to-day civil construction activities at site, ensuring that work fronts are properly allocated and executed safely, to required quality, within planned timelines and in accordance with approved drawings, specifications and project requirements.

The role shall provide field leadership to the Civil Site Engineers and contractors, coordinate interfaces with other project functions and ensure that site constraints are identified and resolved before they affect progress.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Translate the Project Manager's construction plan and priorities into daily and weekly executable work fronts.
- Allocate work areas/packages to Civil Site Engineers and contractors with explicit scope, priorities, targets and timelines.
- Lead and monitor civil works including earthwork, foundations, RCC, structural works, masonry, waterproofing, flooring/finishes, roads, drainage and external development, as applicable.
- Ensure execution follows the latest approved drawings, specifications, BOQ, Method Statements and construction sequence; obtain clarification before proceeding where requirements are unclear.
- Review work-front readiness covering drawings, manpower, materials, machinery, access, quality inspections, safety controls and dependencies.




- Guide and review Civil Site Engineers in contractor supervision, workmanship, productivity, quantity achievement and timely reporting.
- Coordinate closely with Quality for inspection readiness, testing, NCR/observation closure and prevention of avoidable rework.
- Coordinate with HSE/Safety to ensure safe execution and immediate correction/escalation of unsafe conditions.
- Coordinate civil interfaces with MEP, Electrical, PEB/Structural, Survey, Planning, Stores and other disciplines, particularly sleeves, openings, embeds, foundations, levels and work-front handovers.
- Monitor planned versus actual progress, manpower/productivity and material availability; identify delays and constraints early and initiate corrective action.
- Review actual quantities executed and support measurement, progress certification and factual inputs required by Planning/Commercial.
- Protect completed works, ensure observations/punch points are closed and facilitate orderly handover of completed work fronts to subsequent disciplines.
- Provide concise daily/weekly progress and constraint updates to the Project Manager, highlighting decisions, resources or support required.

ACCOUNTABILITY & AUTHORITY The Site Engineer is accountable for the day-to-day control and coordinated civil execution of the site/work fronts assigned by the Project Manager. The Site Engineer may allocate approved resources/work fronts, direct Civil Site Engineers and contractor supervisors,



require correction of poor workmanship, prevent work against unapproved drawings/materials and hold/escalate work where required technical clarification, inspection or safety control is pending.

Major technical deviations, design/specification changes, material substitutions, contractual changes and commercial commitments shall follow the approved MEPL authority chain.

EXPERIENCE & COMPETENCIES The candidate should preferably have 812 years of civil construction experience, with practical exposure to large industrial, commercial, Data Centre, multistorey or PEB-related projects.

Strong capability is expected in drawing interpretation, RCC and structural execution, construction sequencing, contractor management, quantity/BOQ understanding, civil-MEP/PEB interfaces, planning, quality coordination and secure site execution.

The role requires strong field leadership, ownership, planning, decision-making, contractor handling, coordination, problem solving, timely escalation and factual reporting.
