Shopify DeveloperKey Responsibilities

- Build, customise, launch and maintain Shopify and Shopify Plus stores.
- Develop and customise Shopify themes using Liquid, HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
- Convert Figma/UI designs into responsive, pixel-perfect Shopify pages.
- Build and customise landing pages, product pages, collection pages, cart and other storefront components.
- Work with Shopify sections, blocks, snippets, templates, metafields and theme settings.
- Integrate and customise Shopify apps, third-party tools and external APIs.
- Work with Shopify APIs, Storefront API, AJAX API, REST APIs and webhooks.
- Configure and troubleshoot payments, checkout, shipping, inventory and order-related functionality.
- Identify and resolve Liquid, JavaScript, API, theme, app and integration issues.
- Optimise stores for speed, mobile responsiveness, Core Web Vitals and conversion.
- Ensure websites are tested across desktop, mobile, browsers and devices.
- Collaborate with UI/UX, Marketing, Growth and Product teams to deliver high-quality e-commerce experiences.
- Maintain clean, scalable and reusable code while ensuring existing functionality is not affected.

Required Skills

Shopify

- 3+ years of hands-on Shopify development experience.
- Strong knowledge of Shopify Admin, Liquid, themes, sections, blocks, snippets and metafields.
- Experience with Shopify APIs, Storefront API and AJAX API.
- Experience with Shopify apps and third-party integrations.
- Understanding of checkout, payments, products, variants, collections, inventory, orders and shipping.

Front-End

- Strong knowledge of HTML5, CSS3,



JavaScript, DOM, AJAX, jQuery and ES6+.
- Experience building responsive websites for desktop, tablet and mobile.
- Good understanding of browser developer tools and debugging.

APIs & Integrations

- REST APIs, JSON, webhooks and API authentication.
- Experience integrating external platforms and third-party services.

Performance & Analytics

- Understanding of website performance, Core Web Vitals and mobile optimisation.
- Basic knowledge of SEO, GA4, Google Tag Manager and conversion tracking.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering or a related field.
- 3+ years of professional Shopify development experience.
- Demonstrable experience building and launching Shopify stores.
- Strong Shopify portfolio preferred.
- Experience with D2C/e-commerce brands is an advantage.
