Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Shift Engineer – CGL Production to manage and monitor production activities on a Continuous Galvanizing Line, ensuring smooth operations, production targets, quality standards, and safety compliance during the shift.

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage day-to-day CGL production operations during the assigned shift.
- Monitor line parameters, production output, quality, and process stability.
- Ensure optimum utilization of manpower, machinery, and raw materials.
- Coordinate with Maintenance, Quality, Electrical, and other departments for smooth line operations.
- Monitor and control CGL process parameters including furnace, galvanizing pot, air knife, skin pass, tension leveler, recoiler, and related sections.
- Identify process deviations and take corrective actions to minimize downtime, rejection, and production losses.
- Ensure compliance with production plans and achieve shift-wise targets.
- Maintain shift production reports, downtime records, rejection reports,



and other operational documentation.
- Ensure adherence to SOPs, safety procedures, quality standards, and housekeeping requirements.
- Lead and guide operators and technicians working during the shift.
- Troubleshoot operational issues and coordinate with maintenance teams for timely resolution.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve productivity, yield, quality, and line efficiency.

Candidate Profile:

- Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical / Metallurgy / Production / related engineering discipline.
- 8–10 years of relevant experience for Shift Incharges, 4-7 years for Shift Engineers in CGL / GI / Galvanizing / Steel Processing operations.
- Robust hands-on exposure to Continuous Galvanizing Line production operations.
- Experience in shift handling, manpower management, production planning, and process monitoring.
- Knowledge of CGL process parameters, troubleshooting, quality control, and safety practices.
- Candidates from steel manufacturing / CGL / GI / GL / color-coated steel industry will be preferred.
- Willingness to work in rotational shifts and relocate to Gudur, Andhra Pradesh.
