We are looking for a skilled and responsible Desktop, Network, Printer & Scanner Service Support Engineer to provide technical support, troubleshooting, installation, maintenance, and service for desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, and basic network infrastructure at customer locations.

The candidate should have good practical knowledge of hardware and networking and be willing to travel to customer sites whenever required.

Key Responsibilities

- Install, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain desktop computers and laptops.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware and software-related issues.
- Install and configure network printers and scanners.
- Troubleshoot printer issues such as paper jams, print quality problems, connectivity issues, driver errors, and configuration problems.
- Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance of printers, scanners, desktops, and related IT equipment.
- Configure LAN, IP addresses, TCP/IP, network connectivity, and shared printers.
- Troubleshoot basic network problems involving switches, routers, LAN cables, and connectivity.
- Install and configure Windows operating systems, device drivers, applications, and antivirus software.
- Provide onsite and remote technical support to customers.
- Attend service calls and resolve complaints within the required time.
- Maintain service reports, job sheets, and equipment/service records.
- Coordinate with customers and the internal technical team for issue resolution.
- Identify hardware failures and recommend suitable replacement parts.
- Perform basic troubleshooting of laser printers, inkjet printers, multifunction printers (MFP), and scanners.
- Support AMC customers and attend scheduled preventive maintenance visits.
- Maintain proper documentation of service activities and spare parts used.
- Follow company service procedures and customer-site safety requirements.

Required Skills
- Good knowledge of Windows OS,



desktop/laptop hardware, and software troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of LAN, TCP/IP, IP addressing, DNS, DHCP, and basic networking.
- Experience in installation and troubleshooting of network printers and scanners.
- Basic knowledge of printer drivers, print servers, and printer sharing.
- Hardware troubleshooting skills for desktops, laptops, printers, and scanners.
- Good communication and customer-handling skills.
- Ability to diagnose problems independently and provide practical solutions.
- Willingness to travel to customer locations within Chennai and nearby areas.
- Ability to prepare service reports and maintain service documentation.

Qualification
- Diploma / ITI / B.E. / B.Tech / B.Sc. / BCA / equivalent qualification in Computer Hardware, Networking, IT, or related field.
- 1–3 years of relevant experience preferred.
- Freshers with good practical knowledge may also be considered.
