Job Responsibilities & Requirements

- 5 to 8 years of experience in software development testing, with at least 5 years dedicated to test automation.

- Hands-on experience in Playwright is a

MUST

.

- Proficiency in at least two programming languages/tools (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript, or TypeScript), with

Python being the most preferred language

.

- Proven track record in developing scalable automation test frameworks from scratch using Playwright with Python.

- Robust proficiency in Python (3.x), including OOP concepts, data structures, exception handling, and asynchronous programming (asyncio).

- Hands-on experience with Python test runners, primarily pytest (along with pytest-playwright, pytest-xdist for parallel execution, and pytest-html/Allure for reporting).

- Comprehensive expertise in Playwright core capabilities: Page Object Model (POM), multi-browser execution (Chromium, WebKit, Firefox), auto-waiting, network intercepting/mocking, tracing, and debugging.





- Secondary proficiency in Core Java programming and TestNG framework is desirable.

- Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI).

- Solid understanding of Web Services and API automation using Playwright's APIRequestContext or Python requests.

- Experience with open-source tools for test case management, defect tracking (Jira), and API testing (Postman, SoapUI).

- Working knowledge of web technologies: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and the DOM.

- Experience conducting code reviews, architectural reviews, and effort estimations.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- B.E. / B.Tech / B.C.S. or equivalent degree in Computer Science, IT, or related fields.

- Highly motivated self-starter with strong organization, time-management, and problem-solving skills.

Strong presentation, facilitation, and negotiation capabilities.
