Required Qualifications

Minimum 7 years of hands-on skilled Database Administration experience .
n
Strong Microsoft SQL Server administration experience.
n
Solid PostgreSQL and MySQL experience.
n
Experience supporting both cloud-managed and self-hosted databases .
n
Hands-on experience with AWS database technologies, particularly Amazon RDS.
n
Experience administering databases in Microsoft Azure.
n
Strong understanding of SQL, database architecture, query execution plans, indexing, query optimization, statistics, locking and blocking, deadlocks, transactions, backup and recovery, High Availability, Disaster Recovery, database security, and capacity planning.
n
Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and optimize slow-performing SQL queries.
n
Experience working directly with software developers to resolve application and database performance issues.
n
Experience with Liquibase or similar database schema migration and version-management technology .
n
Experience with database monitoring and observability platforms such as Datadog .
n
Working knowledge of cloud database security and networking.
n
Robust troubleshooting and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) skills.
n
Experience creating technical documentation,



operational procedures, and runbooks.
n
Should be ready to work in US shifts (8:00 AM – 4:00 PM U.S.

Central

Time, Monday through Friday).

nThe key objectives for this consulting engagement are to:

Maintain and stabilize database environments.
n
Provide strong production DBA and troubleshooting support.
n
Improve database performance and work collaboratively with developers on query optimization.
n
Strengthen database backup, recovery, HA, and DR processes.
n
Improve database monitoring and observability using technologies such as Datadog.
n
Modernize database schema deployment through Liquibase and CI/CD automation.
n
Document database architecture, operational processes, and support procedures.
n
Create repeatable DBA runbooks and Standard Operating Procedures.
n
Transfer DBA knowledge and operational responsibilities to HALO’s internal technology team.
n
Reduce long-term dependency on external DBA resources through documentation, automation, standardization, and knowledge transfer.
