Role Description The Senior Tax Accountant is a full-time, on-site role based in the Pune Division. This role is responsible for managing and reviewing tax compliance and tax preparation activities for a portfolio of clients, including direct and indirect taxes.

The Senior Tax

Accountant will prepare and review tax returns, analyze tax positions, support tax planning initiatives, and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and filing deadlines. Day-to-day responsibilities include maintaining accurate accounting records, reviewing financial statements for tax implications, resolving tax-related queries, and collaborating with internal teams and client stakeholders. The role also involves mentoring junior team members, contributing to process improvements,



and supporting advisory engagements with clear, well-documented analysis.

Qualifications

- Strong expertise in Tax, Tax Compliance, and Tax Preparation, with the ability to interpret and apply relevant tax laws and regulations.
- Proficiency in Accounting and preparation/review of Financial Statements to ensure accuracy and completeness for tax and advisory purposes.
- Advanced knowledge of taxation concepts, compliance frameworks, and documentation standards, preferably within a consulting or qualified services environment.
- Ability to analyze complex financial and tax data, identify risks and opportunities, and present clear recommendations to clients and internal teams.
- Experience using accounting and tax software tools; strong Excel skills and comfort with technology-driven workflows.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail and the capacity to handle multiple engagements and deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to work ethically, maintain client confidentiality, and uphold professional standards.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional qualifications such as CA, CPA, or equivalent are highly preferred.
- Several years of relevant experience in tax accounting or public practice, including experience in a senior or lead role.
