Role Description

Predictive Technology Engineering (PTE) at Delta’s Technical Operations currently seeks an ACMS

Software Engineer to support the development and deployment of ACMS software on the fleet. The

Software Engineer will use several tools from multiple suppliers to ensure appropriate data is available to users within the airline. Additionally, the Software Engineer will implement an agile deployment strategy for releases, create and manage documentation, and develop workflows to support user requests.

Summary Of Responsibilities (not Comprehensive Of All Tasks)

- Design, implement, document, debug, and test airborne ACMS (Aircraft Condition Monitoring System) software for Teledyne, Honeywell, and other manufacturer data acquisition units

- Develop, implement, and manage an Agile solution for software deployments across the entire fleet

- Interact with internal stakeholders and other business units and develop workflows to enable user requests

- Manage aircraft entry into service from a data acquisition and downlink perspective, specifically related to ACMS software

- Provide support and technical knowledge to other business units as necessary

What You Need To Succeed (Minimum Qualifications)

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or demonstrated equivalent experience.

- 4-7 years of relevant work experience

- Experience operating in an Agile environment

- Strong oral and written communication skills

- Able to transcend organizational structures and work effectively with other business units, divisions, and Digital Alliance partner companies

- Must be adaptable, flexible, and able to creatively solve for obstacles encountered

- Strong interpersonal skills.

- Embrace diverse people, thinking, and styles.

- Must be willing to travel as required.

What Will Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications)

- Knowledge of C, C , Java, Python, or other programming language

- Knowledge of Teledyne, Honeywell, and/or PW HMU programming

- Knowledge of version control systems (GitLab, Git Hub, or similar)

- Knowledge of configuration management systems

- Knowledge of software integration and testing tools
