Designation: Senior Supplier Development Lead

Experience: 10 - 13 Years

Roles & Responsibilities:

We are looking for a Supplier development engineer for the company. The candidate will be responsible for developing supplier base and executing strategic sourcing strategies for recent product development and other initiatives. This role involves managing supplier relationships, assessment of supplier quality and ensures that all the products are free from defects and follow manufacturing specifications and legal standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Supplier Quality monitoring and development: Ensuring the quality of supplies by conducting tests and assessments on incoming supplies to identify any quality issues; Developing supplier inspection, testing, and evaluation mechanism. Generating reports on supplier quality, by monitoring their defect rates and areas that can lead to potential flaws; Guiding suppliers to reduce these defect rates. Owning PPAP process to ensure supply of quality goods.
- Supplier onboarding and Qualifications: Researching the potential vendors, assessing their manufacturing environment, practices, and procedures; Conducting supplier quality control audits to ensure compliance with organizational and federal policies and standards.



Supporting suppliers in improving their performance through process enhancements, implementing process controls, and developing quality assurance plans.
- Cost Optimization: Support cost reduction projects and drive VA/VE projects for new products as well as existing products.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with internal stakeholders (e.g., Engineering, Project, Leadership, R&D;) to understand requirements and align supplier strategies with Sourcing team.
- Risk Mitigation: Identify and mitigate supply chain risks through supplier diversification and performance monitoring.
- Process Improvement: Work with Sourcing team to streamline suppliers, their internal processes and cost structure.

Must Have Skills:

- Experience: 10-12 years experience into supplier development for different commodities including but not limited to castings, forgings, sheet metal, PCBs, sensors will be desirable. Must be assertive, persuasive, analytical, and an excellent communicator with solid organization and prioritization skills. Must be highly computer literate with strong MS Excel skills.
