Senior Staff Full Stack Engineer:

- 9+ years of professional software engineering experience, with a track record of owning architecture across frontend, backend and platform.

ROLE SUMMARY:

As a Senior Staff Full Stack Engineer you will do everything expected of a Senior Full Stack Engineer, plus lead Architecture & Solutioning across the organization. You will own end-to-end system architecture across frontend, backend and platform, design solutions for complex business problems, set engineering standards, lead technology and build-vs-buy decisions, and provide technical leadership across teams while mentoring senior engineers.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:





Core Delivery (includes all Senior-level responsibilities):

- Everything in the Senior Full Stack Engineer role: end-to-end feature and service ownership, module/service design, performance/scalability/security decisions, and on-call/production ownership

Architecture & Solutioning:

- Own end-to-end system architecture across frontend, backend and platform
- Lead architecture for scalable AI backend platforms(multi-service workflows, tool layer, retrieval, evaluation/monitoring)
- Design solutions for complex business problems
- Write architecture decision records (ADRs) and technical design documents
- Choose technologies and build frameworks, including frontend component library/design system foundations
- Make distributed systems, microservices, event-driven, cloud and infrastructure design decisions
- Plan scalability, reliability, observability and security architecture (SLOs, capacity planning, AuthN/AuthZ, multi-tenant isolation)
- Engage with stakeholders and clients on solutions.

Cross-Team Leadership:

- Provide technical leadership across teams
- Define engineering standards (workflow reliability, testing strategy, accessibility, review discipline)
- Lead build-vs-buy decisions
- Reduce tech debt through planned refactoring and architecture evolution
- Mentor senior engineers

MUST-HAVE:

Frontend:

- Strong production experience with React + TypeScript (hooks, routing, React architecture)
- Tailwind CSS at scale — consistent patterns and reusable UI primitives
- Testing with React Testing Library, Jest/Vitest and Playwright E2E, integrated in CI
- State and caching with React Query/SWR and Zustand/Redux Toolkit
- Accessibility standards (WCAG)
- Deep frontend architecture expertise: feature modules, routing, reusable component library/design system
- Testing strategy at scale: React Testing Library + Playwright in CI, flake reduction
- Performance: code splitting, bundle analysis, Core Web Vitals, Lighthouse

Backend / Platform:

- Strong Python backend ownership(FastAPI preferred) and production API design: versioning, pagination, error contracts
- Streaming via SSE/WebSocket
- SQL/PostgreSQL: data modeling, schema design,



indexing and query optimization; Redis caching
- Concurrency: asyncio, thread pools, process pools and their performance tradeoffs
- Distributed systems fundamentals: queues/workers (Kafka/RabbitMQ/SQS), retries, backoff, DLQ, rate limiting, backpressure, circuit breaker
- Docker, deployment/operations basics and CI/CD
- Extensive experience building/operating backend systems in Python at scale
- Expert async/concurrency/parallelism and distributed systems design; backend architecture and platform engineering
- Robust platform/API architecture and operational leadership
- Workflow/state machine orchestration, idempotency, compensation; multi-tenant design, isolation, rate limiting, cost controls
- Security: AuthN/AuthZ, OAuth2, JWT, service-to-service auth, secrets management, auditing
- Observability strategy, SLO/SLI, incident management, postmortems, capacity planning
- Docker + Kubernetes
- Proven delivery of AI systems in production: agents, RAG, tool execution, evaluation/monitoring

- Technical leadership across multiple teams
