About The Role We are seeking an experienced Senior Java Spring Boot Engineer with strong Google Cloud Platform (GCP) expertise and experience in AI/Generative AI

, ideally within the healthcare domain. The role focuses on designing and delivering secure, scalable, cloud-native healthcare applications using GCP Vertex AI and AI-assisted engineering practices.

The candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to translate business and clinical requirements into reliable technical solutions.

The role involves developing enterprise-grade backend services using Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and microservices architecture , along with deploying cloud-native applications on GCP. You will work with services such as Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage, and managed databases.

You will integrate Google Vertex AI capabilities into healthcare applications, including generative AI model endpoints, embeddings, prompt-based workflows, and intelligent automation. The position also involves responsible use of AI-assisted development and vibe coding while maintaining code quality, security, reliability, and maintainability.

You will collaborate with product owners, architects, business analysts, QA, DevOps, and healthcare stakeholders. The role includes participation in testing, CI/CD automation, performance tuning, production support, incident resolution, architecture discussions, and development of reusable engineering practices.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and microservices.
- Build and deploy cloud-native applications using GCP services including Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, Pub/Sub, and Cloud Storage.
- Integrate Vertex AI and Generative AI capabilities into healthcare applications and intelligent automation workflows.
- Apply responsible AI-assisted development practices while validating generated code for quality, security, and reliability.
- Translate business and clinical requirements into scalable technical solutions with cross-functional teams.




- Ensure healthcare data handling aligns with privacy, security, auditability, and HIPAA-aligned controls.
- Participate in code reviews, automated testing, CI/CD, performance tuning, production support, and incident resolution.
- Contribute to architecture, reusable frameworks, technical documentation, and engineering best practices.

- Java, Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, and Microservices
- Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and cloud-native application development
- Google Vertex AI / Generative AI, including model integration, embeddings, and prompt workflows
- CI/CD pipelines, Git-based source control, automated testing, containerization, and DevOps practices
- Secure coding, object-oriented design, and production engineering practices
- Healthcare domain experience, including payer, provider, pharmacy, claims, clinical, patient engagement, or healthcare data platforms
- Healthcare data privacy, PHI/PII handling, HIPAA-aligned security controls, and auditability
- Responsible AI-assisted development / vibe coding practices

Preferred / Valuable To Have

- Healthcare interoperability standards such as HL7, FHIR, EDI, or X12
- Knowledge of BigQuery, Dataflow, Cloud Composer, Apigee, Kubernetes, Terraform, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or observability tools
- Experience with Agile or SAFe delivery environments and distributed onshore/offshore teams
- Strong communication skills for explaining technical designs, risks, and trade-offs
