We are looking for an experienced Senior Solar Designer with strong hands-on experience in rooftop solar projects.

The candidate should be capable of independently handling the complete solar design process, from understanding site requirements and conducting site visits to preparing detailed drawings, system layouts, electrical designs, loss calculations, and technical documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare complete rooftop solar site designs and engineering drawings based on project requirements and actual site conditions.
- Conduct site surveys/site visits whenever required to assess rooftop conditions, available area, electrical infrastructure, equipment locations, and installation feasibility.
- Prepare detailed site layouts, rooftop layouts, module layouts, equipment layouts, and installation drawings.
- Prepare DC and AC electrical drawings, cable routing, and connection details.
- Prepare and review Single Line Diagrams (SLDs) and other electrical drawings.
- Calculate and analyse DC losses and AC losses and optimise the system accordingly.
- Perform solar system sizing, module/string configuration, inverter sizing, and equipment selection.
- Optimise module placement considering available rooftop area, orientation, tilt, shading, and system capacity.
- Prepare shadow analysis and generation/yield calculations wherever required.
- Prepare BOQ/BOM and material requirements based on project designs.




- Ensure designs are practical and suitable for on-site execution.
- Coordinate with project, electrical, execution, procurement, and site teams.
- Modify designs based on actual site conditions, client requirements, and execution requirements.
- Provide technical support to the execution team during installation.
- Maintain proper documentation of drawings, calculations, revisions, and project design details.

Required Experience & Skills:

- 6–7 years of relevant experience in Solar PV Design.
- Strong hands-on experience in Rooftop Solar / Solar EPC is mandatory.
- Must be capable of independently preparing complete solar site drawings and layouts.
- Strong understanding of AC/DC systems and AC/DC loss calculations.
- Practical knowledge of module layout, string configuration, inverter sizing, cable sizing, and electrical design.
- Experience conducting solar site surveys and site visits.
- Solid knowledge of AutoCAD and relevant solar design software.
- Experience with PVsyst, Helioscope, or similar solar design software will be preferred.
- Good understanding of rooftop installation and execution requirements.
- Ability to coordinate with site and project teams and make practical design modifications when required.

Important Requirement:

Hands-on rooftop solar experience is mandatory. We are looking for someone who understands the complete practical design process and can independently handle drawings, calculations, site requirements, and design coordination.

Candidates who can join immediately or within a short notice period will be preferred.
