HUMANITI AI works with businesses on AI-led transformation — not just building chatbots, but redesigning how actual business processes and software work.

We are looking for a strong software developer who has spent the last few years building real applications, but is excited about the way AI is changing software development.

This is not a traditional AI/ML Engineer role. You don't need to have spent years training models or working on deep learning. We are looking for a software engineer first —

someone who understands how to build reliable applications — but who is actively experimenting with LLMs, GenAI, RAG, agents, automation and AI-assisted development.

You will also work closely with and guide a young development team.

What You Will Work On

Our projects broadly fall into two areas.

B U S I N E S S A P P L I C A T I O N S

Building software layers around existing ERP systems and business processes —

replacing Excel sheets, manual processes, disconnected SaaS tools and older applications with simpler integrated systems. These could involve sales, operations,finance, production, inventory, customer management, reporting or other business workflows.

Building applications involving areas such as pricing and costing engines, scheduling and planning systems, inventory optimisation, business automation, AI-assisted workflows,

LLM-powered applications, RAG and enterprise knowledge systems, AI agents and tool-

based workflows, and data-driven decision-support systems.

You won't necessarily build every algorithm yourself, but you should be comfortable understanding the problem, working with data/AI specialists where required, and converting the solution into reliable production software.

What We Need From You

- 3–5 years of hands-on software development experience, with strong fundamentals in

programming and application development
- Experience building web applications end to end, with a good understanding of APIs,

databases, backend systems and frontend development




- Experience integrating applications with external systems or services
- Ability to design reasonably clean, maintainable application architecture
- Experience with Git, testing, debugging and deployment
- Ability to independently take a requirement and turn it into working software
- Ability to review code and guide junior developers

We are adaptable about your exact technology background. Strong experience in modern stacks involving Python, JavaScript/TypeScript or similar technologies is useful.

AI Matters to Us

You do not need professional experience as an ML Engineer, but we do expect genuine curiosity and hands-on experimentation with AI. You should have personally built or experimented with some combination of:
- LLM APIs — OpenAI, Claude, Gemini or others
- RAG and enterprise knowledge systems, vector databases or semantic search
- AI agents and tool calling, structured outputs, prompt engineering
- Workflow automation and LLM-based applications
- AI coding environments such as Claude Code, Cursor, Codex or GitHub Copilot

Your Role in the Team You won't just be another developer receiving tickets. You will work with consultants,

business users and junior developers to:

- Understand business problems and break them into software requirements
- Decide how the application should be structured, and identify where conventional

software is enough and where AI adds value
- Build critical parts of the application
- Review the work of junior developers and help them improve their engineering

practices
- Explore new AI tools and approaches
- Take solutions from prototype to usable production systems

The Person We Are Looking For The ideal person is someone who was a good traditional software developer two years ago, but doesn't intend to remain a traditional software developer for the next five years. You should be curious about where software development is going, comfortable learning rapidly and excited about building the next generation of business applications with AI at their core.
