Role Overview We are looking for a highly experienced Senior SAP HANA Developer with strong expertise in SAP HANA development, data modelling, performance optimization, and database programming. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience working with SAP HANA/BTP environments and 4+ years of experience with Snowflake.
The candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable data models, developing high-performance database solutions, optimizing queries, and supporting integrations with enterprise applications.
Key Responsibilities
SAP HANA Development & Data Modelling
- Design, develop, and maintain native SAP HANA artifacts, including Calculation Views, CDS Views, and SQLScript procedures.
- Develop scalable and high-performance data models within SAP HANA/BTP environments.
- Translate business requirements into efficient technical solutions.
Performance Optimization
- Perform database and query performance tuning.
- Implement code pushdown techniques to maximize database performance.
- Analyze and resolve performance bottlenecks in HANA applications and data models.
- Conduct code reviews and recommend optimization opportunities.
Database Programming
- Develop complex SQLScript procedures and database routines.
- Experience with ABAP Managed Database Procedures (AMDP) is an added advantage.
- Ensure database solutions follow performance, scalability, and development best practices.
Integration & APIs
- Design and manage OData services for integration with external and legacy systems.
- Develop and support data pipelines and enterprise data integrations.
- Troubleshoot integration issues and ensure reliable data flow across systems.
Snowflake
- Utilize Snowflake for data engineering, data modelling, and enterprise data workloads.
- Optimize Snowflake queries and data processing workflows.
- Integrate Snowflake with enterprise data platforms where required.
Collaboration & Support
- Collaborate with functional teams, architects, and other technical stakeholders.
- Participate in requirement analysis, technical design, development, testing, and production support.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and provide timely resolution.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation.
