SENIOR SAP BTP DEVELOPER – CAP & MULTI-TENANT APPLICATIONS

Job Summary

We are looking for a Senior SAP BTP Developer with strong hands-on experience in SAP CAP/CAPM, BTP, Node.js/Java, and multi-tenant application development. The candidate should have good understanding of Clean Core principles, BTP services, system design, Infrastructure as Code, and modern AI-assisted development practices.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and develop scalable applications using SAP BTP and SAP CAP/CAPM.
- Develop CAP applications using Node.js and/or Java, CDS, OData V4, and REST APIs.
- Design and implement secure multi-tenant SaaS applications on SAP BTP.
- Implement tenant isolation and design appropriate data and service architectures for multi-tenant applications.
- Work with SaaS Provisioning Service, SaaS Registry, XSUAA, Service Manager, Destination Service, and other BTP services.
- Follow SAP Clean Core principles and use released APIs, CDS views, and extension approaches.
- Work with SAP HANA/HANA Cloud and other relevant databases for application persistence.
- Design efficient write paths, data models, and storage strategies.
- Analyze application performance and scalability and design solutions that can handle increased load.
- Use Terraform and Infrastructure as Code practices for provisioning and managing BTP infrastructure.
- Explore and adopt AI-assisted development tools and new SAP/AI technologies where relevant.
- Collaborate with frontend teams using SAPUI5/Fiori and integrate backend services with business applications.
- Work with CI/CD and cloud-native development practices.

Mandatory Skills

- 6+ years of overall software development experience.
- 3+ years of hands-on SAP BTP experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with SAP CAP/CAPM.
- Strong knowledge of Node.js and/or Java.
- Strong knowledge of CDS, OData V4, REST APIs, and service development.




- Hands-on experience with SAP BTP Cloud Foundry.
- Strong understanding of multi-tenant SaaS application development.
- Good understanding of tenant isolation and its impact on data and service design.
- Working knowledge of SaaS Provisioning Service, SaaS Registry, XSUAA, Service Manager, and Destination Service.
- Good understanding of SAP Clean Core principles and released APIs/CDS views.
- Hands-on or strong working knowledge of Terraform / Infrastructure as Code.
- Good understanding of database/storage selection and application persistence.
- Ability to design applications for scalability and performance.
- Awareness of AI-assisted development and modern AI tooling.

Experience

- 6+ years of software development experience.
- 3+ years of hands-on SAP BTP development.
- Strong hands-on experience with SAP CAP/CAPM and multi-tenant applications.
- Experience with Terraform/IaC is expected.
- Experience working with Clean Core, HANA/HANA Cloud, OData, and BTP services.
- Experience with scalable cloud application design and modern AI-assisted development is preferred.
