Role: Senior Consultant SAP ABAP

Position Type: Individual Contributor

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Senior SAP ABAP Consultant with 712 years of hands-on experience in SAP ABAP development, preferably with strong exposure to S/4HANA and modern ABAP development practices.

The role is an Individual Contributor position, requiring the candidate to independently manage activities across the complete development lifecycle from requirements gathering and technical solution design to development, testing, deployment, and support.

The ideal candidate should have strong technical expertise in ABAP, experience working with business processes, good problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate technical solutions effectively with business and technical stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

- Gather and analyze technical requirements from functional/business stakeholders.
- Translate business requirements into scalable and maintainable technical solutions.
- Design, develop, test, debug, and implement SAP ABAP solutions.
- Develop and maintain ABAP programs, reports, interfaces, enhancements, forms, workflows, and custom applications.
- Work on performance optimization and ensure adherence to SAP coding standards and best practices.
- Analyze existing programs and identify opportunities for code optimization and technical improvements.
- Perform unit testing, integration testing, defect fixing, and production support activities.
- Work independently on assigned deliverables and take ownership from requirement gathering through implementation.
- Collaborate with functional consultants and other technical teams to understand end-to-end business processes.
- Prepare technical specifications and relevant development documentation.
- Participate in code reviews and ensure development quality and maintainability.
- Support deployment and transport activities across SAP landscapes.
- Stay current with S/4HANA, latest ABAP technologies, SAP Fiori/UI5, CDS, OData, and modern SAP development practices.

- Experience in EWM, TM, or APO is an added advantage.
