Monitor stock levels of medicines, surgical consumables, and general hospital items.
Implement FIFO (First-In, First-Out) and FEFO (First-Expired, First-Out) methods to minimize wastage from expired items.
Conduct routine physical stock audits and cycle counts for accurate reconciliation. [1, 2]
Process purchase requisitions received from various hospital departments.
Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for timely delivery, price negotiations, and resolution of short supplies.
Prepare Purchase Orders (POs) and Goods Receipt Notes (GRNs). [1, 2]
Issue supplies and medical materials safely to departments like the Operation Theatre (OT), ICU, and general wards.
Track urgent requirements and prevent critical stock-outs of life-saving drugs or materials. [1, 2]
Maintain logs, ledgers, and digital inventory systems (ERP/Hospital Management software).
Ensure storage conditions meet safety and regulatory standards, including temperature controls for sensitive pharmaceuticals.
Assist in internal, financial, and quality accreditation audits (such as NABH).
