Role Description The Senior Research Development Chemist will lead the design, development, and optimization of pharmaceutical intermediates, with a focus on robustness, scalability, and cGMP alignment. This full-time, in office role based in Vadodara involves planning and executing laboratory experiments, developing synthetic routes, and troubleshooting processes from lab to pilot scale.

The chemist will collaborate with cross-functional teams in manufacturing and quality to ensure batch consistency, impurity control,



and effective technology transfer.

Responsibilities include preparing and reviewing technical documentation, supporting quality control investigations, and contributing to continuous improvement of existing products and processes. The role also requires mentoring junior team members, maintaining a safe laboratory environment, and staying current with relevant scientific and regulatory developments.

Qualifications

- Strong Research and Development (R&D;) and Laboratory Skills, including experimental design, synthetic chemistry, and process optimization.
- Adept Analytical Skills for interpreting data, troubleshooting processes, and supporting impurity profiling and method development.
- Experience in Quality Control practices, including adherence to cGMP, documentation standards, and collaboration with QA/QC teams.
- Knowledge of Coatings or related formulation/processing techniques relevant to pharmaceutical intermediates is an advantage.
- Master’s or PhD in Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, or a closely related discipline.
- Proven experience in pharmaceutical intermediates or API R&D;, with exposure to scale-up from lab to pilot or commercial manufacturing.
- Ability to work systematically, manage multiple projects, and communicate technical information clearly in written and verbal form.
- Familiarity with safety protocols, regulatory expectations, and cross-functional collaboration in a manufacturing environment.
