Role & responsibilities

- Assess, diagnose, and manage critically ill pediatric cardiac patients.

- Provide peri-operative care for congenital and acquired heart disease patients undergoing cardiac surgery.

- Manage patients requiring mechanical ventilation, inotropic support, ECMO, VAD, and other advanced life-support therapies.

- Interpret hemodynamic monitoring, echocardiography findings, laboratory investigations, and imaging studies.

- Lead emergency resuscitation and code blue responses within the PCICU.

- Develop evidence-based treatment plans and ensure continuity of care.

- Coordinate secure patient transfers and referrals when required.

Preferred candidate profile

- MD / DNB Pediatrics

- DM / DrNB Pediatric Critical Care Medicine or

- DM / DrNB Pediatric Cardiology with exposure to Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care or

- Fellowship in Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care / Pediatric Critical Care preferred

- Valid State Medical Council Registration
