Maharaja & Speedex India Limited is a Delhi-based company and marketer of stainless steel consumer products with a heritage dating back to 2006. Over nearly two decades, the Company has evolved from a pure trading business into a vertically integrated, manufacturing-led enterprise with a growing pan-India brand presence.

The Company operates under its well-recognised consumer brand - “Speedex” - while also undertaking OEM and private-label production for institutional and third-party clients. Products spans - everyday, premium and lifestyle segments, reaching consumers through ~120 distributors spread across all regions of India and through major e-commerce and quick-commerce platforms.

POSITION SUMMARY The Quality Head will be the guardian of Speedex's product excellence, responsible for building and enforcing a robust, end-to-end Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC) system across all stages of production. This role is pivotal in ensuring that every premium steel bottle and reusable drinkware product that leaves our plant meets stringent dimensional, aesthetic, and functional standards.

The Quality

Head will directly influence customer satisfaction, rejection rates, and brand reputation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Design, implement, and continuously improve the plant's QA/QC framework - covering incoming raw material inspection (IQC), in-process quality control (IPQC), and final product inspection (FQC) - with documented SOPs for each stage.
- Define and enforce critical quality parameters for steel drinkware manufacturing including material grade verification (food-grade 304/316 SS), wall thickness tolerances, seam integrity, lid leak testing, finish uniformity, and print registration accuracy.
- Drive a zero-defect dispatch philosophy by establishing pre-dispatch inspection protocols, AQL sampling standards, and clear hold/rejection/rework decision matrices aligned with customer specifications.




- Lead root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective & preventive action (CAPA) processes for all quality failures, customer complaints, and field returns; ensure CAPA closure within defined timelines.
- Set up and maintain the Quality Lab with calibrated measuring instruments (vernier calipers, pressure gauges, leak-test rigs, surface finish testers) and ensure all gauges are under a calibration management system.
- Collaborate with the production team to conduct in-line process audits, First Article Inspection (FAI) for new SKUs, and process capability studies (Cpk) to reduce process variation.
- Manage and mentor the quality inspection team across all shifts, instilling a quality-first mindset and setting measurable quality KPIs (e.g., defect rate per thousand units, first-pass yield, RTV rate).
- Interface directly with whitelabeling clients and own-brand B2B buyers on quality requirements, audit readiness, COA/COC documentation, and resolution of quality escalations.

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS

- B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical, Metallurgy, or Industrial Engineering; Six Sigma Green/Black Belt or Lean Quality certification is a strong advantage.
- 8–14 years of QA/QC experience in steel fabrication, metal stamping, consumer goods manufacturing, or related process industries; direct experience with stainless steel products is highly preferred.
- Proficient in operating standard quality measurement instruments; experience setting up or running an in-house quality lab from scratch is a major plus.
- Solid attention to detail, assertive communication, and the ability to influence cross-functional teams to uphold quality standards under production pressure.
- Proficiency in MS Excel for MIS reporting and quality trend analysis; experience with QMS software is an advantage.

Other Details

Salary Range: ₹70,000 - ₹75,000 per month (Based on Interview Performance)

Work Mode: Onsite, 6 Days a Week
