Main Purpose The main purpose of this position is to responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of quality control operations within the laboratory unit. The primary goal of this role is to ensure that all laboratory activities, processes, and products meet the highest standards of quality, safety,

and compliance with industry regulations. This role involves overseeing testing, inspection,

auditing, and the implementation of corrective actions to ensure that quality benchmarks are consistently met.

Main Duties

- Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the laboratorys quality control processes.
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality control procedures and systems to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Monitor and assess the performance of laboratory tests, processes, and equipment to identify areas of improvement and ensure data integrity.
- Maintain and update the laboratorys Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and standards.
- Test the identity, quality, and purity of RM as well as packaging material and sure that materials are appropriately tested, and results are reported.
- Ensure all test results are accurate, reliable, and properly documented.

- Conduct validation and verification of laboratory methods and equipment.
- Preparation of reagents, indicators, volumetric solutions and their standardization.
- Records the results of test and how they compare with established acceptance criteria.
- To recommend rejection of material of poor quality and approve materials of prescribed quality only.
- Keeps complete data derived from all tests conducted to ensure compliance with established specifications and standards, including examinations and assays.




- To prepare COAs and logbook maintenance for all tested materials.Records the description of each sample received for testing, reference of each test method used, data on or cross reference to the preparation and testing of reference standards/reagents/solutions.
- Records all raw data including calculations generated during each test, in addition to graphs, charts and spectra from lab instrumentation.
- Checks the reliability of COA from the supplier at regular intervals.
- Sampling of the material received. Ensures representative samples of each shipment of each lot shall be collected for testing or examination.
- Create Standard testing procedures and specifications of materials being tested.
- Daily Cleanliness of lab instruments and check housekeeping activities in quality control laboratory.
- Maintain stock of all chemicals and glasswares and check the materials for indent at regular intervals.
- Calibration and validation of instruments as per defined interval and preparing protocols as and when required.
- Storage of control samples and their maintenance.
- Implementation of Standard Operating Procedures for Quality Management system for which training, and all guidance shall be provided.
- Shall be responsible for any other job assigned in the company apart from their defined duties and conduct those as per advised.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Supervise the working of other Analyst in the team and of Housekeeping personnel to assure

SOPs are implemented, and work is performed as required.

Work Environment





This job operates primarily in a professional office environment in the quality control laboratory.

This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as testing laboratory equipment,

computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets etc.

Physical Demands

This is largely a desk-based role; however, some filing and other physical ability is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend, stoop, or stand as necessary.

This role also works with large machinery and electronics and requires appropriate safety equipment and practices when necessary. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Education / Experience

- B. Sc/ M. Sc degree
- 5-6-year experience of working in laboratory workplace
