About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Automation QA Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate combines strong QA fundamentals with solid programming skills, and has some hands-on development exposure. You will design, build, and maintain automation frameworks, and help ensure the quality of cloud-hosted applications.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites using Robot Framework.
- Create custom Python keywords and libraries to extend Robot Framework.
- Analyze requirements and create test plans, test cases, and test data for functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
- Test applications deployed on AWS and validate behavior across environments.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or AWS Code Pipeline).
- Perform API testing and backend validation.
- Identify, log, and track defects, and work with developers to resolve them.
- Review automation code, mentor junior team members, and promote QA best practices.
- Contribute to improving test coverage, execution speed, and framework reliability.

Required Skills

- 7-8 years of experience in software testing, with a strong focus on test automation.
- Strong hands-on experience with Robot Framework and Selenium for web UI automation.




- Proficiency in Python (or Java) for scripting and framework development.
- Some experience in software development, with the ability to read and debug application code.
- Experience with API testing (Postman, REST Assured, or Robot Framework Requests Library).
- Working knowledge of AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, CloudWatch, API Gateway).
- Experience with CI/CD tools and version control (Git).
- Positive SQL skills for database validation.
- Solid understanding of the SDLC, STLC, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Strong analytical, debugging, and communication skills.
- Experience with Docker and containerized test execution.
- Exposure to performance testing (JMeter, Locust).
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Familiarity with BDD (Behave, Cucumber) and test management tools (Jira, TestRail, Zephyr).

Good to Have

- AWS certification (Cloud Practitioner or higher).

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
