Roles & Responsibilities
Incoming Quality Inspection
Inspect raw materials such as solar cells, glass, EVA/POE, backsheet, frames, junction boxes, etc.
Verify material specifications and quality against approved standards.
Record inspection results and identify defective materials.
In-Process Quality Control
Monitor quality at different stages of module production, such as:
Cell stringing
Layup
EL inspection
Lamination
Trimming
Framing
Junction-box fixing
Final inspection
Ensure operators follow work instructions and quality procedures.
Identify defects and stop/escalate production when necessary.
Final Quality Inspection
Check finished solar modules for visual and dimensional defects.
Verify parameters such as module appearance, labeling, dimensions and electrical test results.
Support EL, IV/flash-test and other inspection/testing activities.
Defect Analysis
Identify common defects such as:
Cell cracks
Soldering defects
Misalignment




Bubbles/delamination
Glass scratches
Frame defects
Junction-box issues
Help determine the root cause using tools such as 5 Why, Fishbone and Pareto analysis.
Documentation & Reporting
Maintain inspection reports, rejection/rework records and quality check sheets.
Prepare daily/shift quality reports.
Maintain traceability of production and quality data.
Corrective & Preventive Action
Participate in CAPA activities.
Follow up on corrective actions for recurring defects.
Work with Production, Maintenance and Process Engineering teams to reduce defects.
Quality Standards & Safety
Follow plant SOPs, work instructions and quality procedures.
Support compliance with standards such as ISO 9001 and applicable solar-module standards.
Follow EHS and workplace safety requirements.
