Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Senior PostgreSQL Developer with 10+ years of overall IT experience and strong hands-on expertise in PostgreSQL database development.

The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, optimizing, and maintaining database solutions, stored procedures, functions, complex SQL queries, and data-intensive applications. The role requires strong knowledge of PostgreSQL internals, query optimization, database design, and application integration.

Mandatory Skills

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain PostgreSQL database solutions for enterprise applications.
- Develop complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, triggers, and views.
- Develop and optimize PL/pgSQL procedures and functions.
- Design efficient database schemas, tables, relationships, constraints, and indexes.
- Analyze execution plans and optimize complex SQL queries.
- Perform query tuning and database performance optimization.

- Develop database objects based on application and business requirements.
- Collaborate with application developers, architects, QA, and DevOps teams.




- Integrate PostgreSQL with backend applications and APIs.
- Develop data migration and transformation scripts.
- Support database version upgrades and application migration activities.
- Review existing database code and recommend improvements.
- Implement database security, roles, permissions, and access controls.
- Troubleshoot database-related application issues across development, testing, and production.
- Participate in code reviews and maintain database development standards.
- Prepare technical documentation for database designs and solutions.
- Support production deployments and resolve critical database issues.
- Contribute to automation of database development and deployment activities.
