Position Summary

Planning Engineer who is highly motivated to join the team in India. The successful candidate must have extensive experience in executing Power projects.

The role requires solid experience in:

- Combined Cycle Power Plants (CCPP)
- Open Cycle Plants (OCPP)
- Thermal Power Plants
- Renewable Hybrid Projects
- Hydrogen-Ready Facilities
- Carbon Capture Systems
- Substations
- Balance of Plant (BoP) facilities

Key Objectives & Responsibilities

- Prepare and update the Project Schedule at all levels during all project phases using Primavera P6.
- Establish relationships among activities and verify the relationships during schedule updates.
- Fix main project milestones as per contract requirements.
- Review project activities to ensure consistency with contractual milestones.
- Review and evaluate activity durations across all disciplines and incorporate them into the schedule.
- Monthly update of actual dates.
- Reschedule dates when original planned dates were not achieved.




- Load and level resources in the schedule.
- Generate manpower histograms and monitor manpower, including actual data and forecasts.
- Prepare scheduled progress curves according to the Project Schedule.
- Perform weekly actual progress calculations with maximum detail as per the project WBS.
- Provide required procurement information, including required delivery dates for equipment and materials, to support bid evaluation.
- Develop representative quantity curves for Engineering issues.
- Prepare weekly and monthly project progress reports for submission to the Client.
- Prepare internal project-status reports according to company requirements.
- Obtain required information from all disciplines for reports, schedule updates and progress calculations.
- Inform all disciplines about the schedule and ensure their understanding.
- Update databases for Engineering and Procurement, including all planning information and required data.

Technical / Qualification Requirements

Essential:

- 10–15 years of experience in refining, petrochemical or power projects.
- Relevant technical degree, e.g. Civil / Mechanical Engineering.
- Strong experience in Primavera P6 and MS Office.
- High level of English, both spoken and written.

Desirable:

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Foreign site experience would be an advantage.
