Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and proactive SQL Database Administrator (DBA) to manage, maintain, and optimize our SQL Server environments across on-premises, Azure, and AWS platforms. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Always On Availability Groups, SQL Server Replication, Azure SQL Database, Managed Instances (MI), and NetBackup integration. Strong communication and ITSM skills are essential for collaborating across teams and managing incidents and changes via Service Now.

Key Responsibilities

Administer and maintain SQL Server databases across on-perm, Azure, and AWS environments. • Configure and manage Always On Availability Groups and SQL Server Replication. • Perform regular SQL patching, upgrades, Migrations, and security hardening. • Manage Azure SQL Databases and Managed Instances (MI), including performance tuning and cost optimization. • Integrate and monitor NetBackup for SQL Server backups and ensure backup integrity. • Handle incident, change, and problem management using ServiceNow. • Perform routine database maintenance, health checks, and performance tuning.



• Collaborate with application and infrastructure teams to support database requirements. • Participate in BCDR planning and testing. • Document procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting guides.

Skill Requirements

5+ years of experience as a SQL DBA in enterprise environments. • Strong knowledge of SQL Server 2016/2019/2022. • Experience with Always On, Database Mirroring, Replication, and Clustering. • Hands-on experience with Azure SQL Database, Managed Instances, and AWS RDS for SQL Server. • Familiarity with tools like Azure Data Migration Assistant (DMA), Azure Database Migration Service (DMS), and Azure Monitor. • Familiarity with NetBackup or similar enterprise backup tools. • Proficiency in T-SQL, PowerShell, and automation scripting. • Experience with ServiceNow or other ITSM platforms. • Strong communication and documentation skills. • Ability to work in a fast-paced, 24x7 support workplace.

Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate • MCSA: SQL Server (2016 or later) • Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900)
