Role Overview

Warehouse by Mudita is looking for a energetic, commercially driven, and relationship-oriented Senior Merchandiser to manage designer relationships, merchandising operations, event planning, revenue generation, and business development across multiple verticals.

The role will involve managing the end-to-end merchandising lifecycle, from designer research and onboarding to event execution, inventory coordination, payment tracking, and strategic expansion into new markets. The candidate will also drive growth across GPW, jewellery, Multi-Brand Outlets (MBOs), and Tier 2 city expansion, while ensuring seamless coordination between designers, internal teams, venues, and external stakeholders.

The ideal candidate should have strong negotiation, analytical, coordination, and business development skills, along with an understanding of the luxury fashion and designer ecosystem.

Key Responsibility Areas (KRAs)1. Designer Relationship Management

- Build, nurture, and maintain long-term relationships with existing and prospective designers.
- Act as the primary point of contact for designer communication, requirements, participation, and business opportunities.
- Conduct regular follow-ups to ensure timely deliverables, collections, outfits, and event readiness.
- Understand designer expectations, business objectives, inventory, and commercial requirements.
- Monitor designer engagement and performance to strengthen long-term partnerships.

1. Event Planning & Execution

- Manage designer onboarding and coordinate end-to-end merchandising requirements for exhibitions and events.
- Coordinate with designers to ensure timely submission of collections, product details, and other event-related deliverables.
- Track event timelines, participation confirmations, inventory readiness, and operational requirements.
- Work closely with internal teams to ensure smooth event execution.
- Review past event performance and identify opportunities to improve designer participation, customer experience, and revenue.

1. Payments, Revenue & Commercial Management

- Track designer payments, outstanding dues, commissions, and other financial commitments.
- Ensure timely payment follow-ups and coordinate with the Accounts team for reconciliation.
- Evaluate designer revenue, commission potential, and commercial viability.
- Identify opportunities to improve revenue through designer participation, collaborations, and new business initiatives.
- Prepare periodic revenue reports and analyze financial performance across events and business verticals.

1. GPW Vertical & Designer Onboarding

- Drive the expansion of the GPW (Get Powered by Warehouse) vertical through designer research, outreach, and onboarding.
- Identify emerging and established designers whose collections align with the brand's positioning and customer base.




- Evaluate designer portfolios, product categories, commercial potential, and market demand.
- Build and maintain a structured pipeline of prospective designers.
- Monitor designer performance and recommend strategies to improve engagement and business growth.

1. Market Research & Competitor Analysis

- Monitor fashion trends, emerging designers, new collections, and evolving customer preferences.
- Research competitor exhibitions, designer collaborations, retail formats, and market positioning.
- Identify new business opportunities, potential designer partnerships, and untapped market segments.
- Prepare periodic market insights and recommend strategies for improving brand positioning and revenue.
- Track industry developments relevant to luxury fashion, designer retail, and exhibition-based businesses.

1. Content, Inventory & Website Management

- Coordinate with designers and internal teams to ensure timely website updates, product listings, and collection information.
- Ensure accurate product descriptions, pricing, images, and availability details.
- Monitor inventory movement, product availability, and stock-related requirements for events and campaigns.
- Conduct periodic inventory checks and maintain accurate merchandise tracking.
- Identify opportunities to optimize product presentation, merchandising, and inventory utilization.

1. Strategic Planning & Business Development

- Develop and recommend strategies to increase designer engagement, event participation, and revenue generation.
- Identify opportunities for new events, brand collaborations, and innovative merchandising formats.
- Build business plans for designer acquisition and expansion across existing and current verticals.
- Track business performance and propose actionable improvements based on market trends and commercial insights.
- Collaborate with management and internal teams to execute growth initiatives.

1. Tier 2 City Expansion & Venue Research

- Research and identify potential Tier 2 cities for Warehouse exhibitions and business expansion.
- Identify and evaluate suitable venues, hotels, event spaces, and local business opportunities.
- Assess target audience potential, accessibility, commercial viability, and brand alignment.
- Coordinate with venues to negotiate commercials and discuss availability, layouts, and event requirements.
- Present monthly expansion proposals with market insights, venue options, estimated costs, and feasibility analysis.

1. Jewellery Vertical & MBO Development

- Develop and expand the jewellery vertical by identifying relevant designers, brands, and business opportunities.
- Research and onboard jewellery designers aligned with Warehouse's customer profile and brand positioning.
- Identify and develop partnerships with Multi-Brand Outlets (MBOs) to create additional revenue channels.




- Build and maintain a pipeline of jewellery brands and potential MBO partners.
- Monitor vertical performance and recommend strategies for growth, engagement, and expansion.

1. Shoot, Outfit & Influencer Coordination

- Coordinate outfit and product requirements for event shoots, campaigns, and influencer collaborations.
- Liaise with designers for outfit selection, availability, dispatch, pickup, and returns.
- Manage end-to-end outfit movement and ensure timely delivery to the required location.
- Coordinate with influencers, stylists, photographers, and internal teams to ensure smooth shoot execution.
- Maintain accurate tracking of outfits and ensure timely returns to designers after shoots and events.

1. Designer Meetings, Research & Business Development Pipeline

- Conduct regular meetings with existing and prospective designers to understand their collections, business objectives, inventory, and participation opportunities.
- Research designer portfolios, brand positioning, collections, and potential collaboration opportunities.
- Identify high-potential designers and develop relationships for future events and business partnerships.
- Maintain structured meeting records, follow-ups, and actionable outcomes.
- Build and manage a strong designer acquisition pipeline across Warehouse events, GPW, jewellery, MBOs, and new city expansions.

Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Fashion Management, Merchandising, Business Administration, Retail Management, or a related field.
- 4-7 years of relevant experience in merchandising, designer relationship management, fashion retail, luxury brands, exhibitions, or business development.
- Strong understanding of the designer fashion, luxury retail, and merchandising ecosystem.
- Experience in designer onboarding, commercial negotiations, event coordination, and revenue tracking.
- Exposure to jewellery brands, multi-brand retail, or new market expansion will be an advantage.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, relationship management, and stakeholder coordination skills.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate commercial performance and identify growth opportunities.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Google Sheets, reporting, and inventory management tools.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to travel for exhibitions, designer meetings, and business expansion activities.
