Role Purpose

Drive procurement excellence and capital-project appraisal as a Center-of-Excellence (CoE) function within the CMD Office. This role combines rigorous financial analysis with strategic sourcing governancesetting strategy across major spend categories and bringing deep analytical discipline to investment and capacity decisions. The role owns the full lifecycle from problem framing through cost analysis, financial modelling, and commercial/contract structuring to management-ready recommendations, collaborating across business units and functions without direct line authority.

Key Responsibilities

1. Project Excellence — Capital Investment Appraisal & Feasibility

- Provide end-to-end financial and strategic appraisal for capacity expansions, greenfield, and brownfield projects from problem framing to investment recommendation.
- Own financial modelling standards—DCF/IRR, debt-structuring mechanics, break-even analysis, and multi-scenario sensitivity.
- Prepare board- and top-management-ready decks comparing configuration and investment options based on Capex, P&L; impact, and ROI/returns.
- Structure commercial terms and financial feasibility models for facility takeovers, capacity deals, and capital projects from concept/term sheet to executed agreement.

2. Procurement Excellence — Strategic Sourcing & Cost Optimisation

- Lead Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) analysis across major group spend categories, including raw materials, chemicals, fuel, and yarn.
- Convert sourcing decisions into structured decision frameworks (e.g., make-vs-buy thresholds, in-house vs. outsourced category strategies).
- Manage competitive-sourcing evaluations, vendor-development initiatives, and supplier-rationalization programs across business units.

Procurement Governance, Analytics & Reporting

- Establish and enforce procurement SOPs that resolve recurring operational bottlenecks and prevent production disruptions.
- Build and maintain live cost and sourcing dashboards using Power BI and Excel to deliver real-time spend visibility across all business units.
- Review, redline, and structure commercial contracts, supply agreements, and service leases in tandem with the legal team.

4. PMO & Group Strategic Initiatives

- Run governance and delivery cadences for key cross-functional strategic initiatives under the CMD Office.
- Provide financial-structuring, policy analysis, and analytical support for group-level strategic projects.

Educational Qualifications & Experience Criteria

- Qualification: Chartered Accountant (CA) is mandatory.
- Experience: 2 to 3 years of post-qualification experience in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A;), Financial Modelling, or Corporate Strategy.
- Preferred Background: Experience in a Promoter/CMD Office, Corporate Strategy, Big 4 Deals/Valuation team, or large manufacturing/textile conglomerate is highly preferred.

Key Skills & Competencies

- FP&A; & Financial Modelling: Advanced skills in Excel, DCF/IRR, sensitivity testing, and P&L;/balance sheet impact modelling.
- Procurement Analytics: Proficiency in Power BI, spend analytics dashboards, and executive reporting.
- Cost & Category Analysis: Ability to evaluate TCO, cost drivers, and operational levers across manufacturing spend categories.
- Commercial Literacy: Strong competency in reviewing commercial term sheets, supply contracts, and lease agreements.
- Executive Communication: High structured-problem-solving ability to translate complex data into explicit, actionable, board-ready presentations.
