About the Role

Glorious Insight is looking for an experienced and hands-on Senior Manager – Legal (Employment, Litigation & Dispute Resolution) to manage the company’s employment-related legal matters, arbitration, litigation, legal notices, contractual disputes, recovery matters and dispute-resolution activities.

The position requires a lawyer with strong practical experience in employment disputes, arbitration and litigation management, who can independently assess matters, review evidence, develop legal positions, draft legal documentation and manage cases through their complete lifecycle.

The individual will work closely with Management, HR, Finance and business teams and will coordinate with external advocates and law firms wherever court representation or specialist legal expertise is required.

Key Responsibilities

1. Employment & Employee-Related Legal Matters

Manage legal matters arising from employer–employee relationships, including:

- Employment agreement breaches
- Confidentiality and NDA violations
- Non-solicitation and contractual restrictive covenants
- Employee misconduct and disciplinary matters
- Unauthorized disclosure or misuse of company/client information
- Intellectual property and source-code related disputes
- Employee abandonment
- Separation and termination disputes
- Recovery and damages claims
- Show-cause and disciplinary notices
- Employee legal notices
- Settlement negotiations

Work closely with HR to ensure that employment-related actions are appropriately documented and legally reviewed. 2. Arbitration Management

Take ownership of the company’s arbitration matters, including employee and commercial disputes.

Responsibilities include

- Reviewing contracts, facts, correspondence and evidence
- Assessing the company’s legal position
- Preparing case strategy with management and external counsel
- Preparing case chronologies
- Drafting/reviewing notices invoking arbitration
- Drafting/reviewing statements of claim and defence
- Counterclaims and rejoinders
- Reviewing affidavits and written submissions
- Organizing documentary evidence and exhibits
- Coordinating with arbitrators and arbitral institutions
- Preparing company representatives for proceedings
- Participating in hearings and legal meetings,



as appropriate
- Monitoring procedural orders and submission deadlines
- Managing settlement discussions

The candidate should be comfortable managing multiple arbitration matters simultaneously. 3. Litigation & Court Matters

Act as the internal owner for litigation involving the company.

Responsibilities include

- Coordinating with external advocates
- Preparing comprehensive case briefs
- Providing documents and evidence
- Reviewing petitions, replies, applications and other filings
- Tracking hearings and court deadlines
- Preparing management/company representatives
- Reviewing litigation strategy
- Monitoring case progress
- Maintaining complete case records
- Tracking legal costs and financial exposure

External advocates may represent the company before courts and tribunals, while the Senior Manager – Legal will maintain internal ownership and control of each matter. 4. Legal Notices

Draft, review and manage:

- Employee breach notices
- Legal demand notices
- Recovery notices
- Contractual breach notices
- Show-cause notices
- Cease-and-desist notices
- Arbitration notices
- Settlement communications
- Responses to notices received by the company

5. Dispute Resolution & Settlement Evaluate whether matters should be pursued through:

- Negotiation
- Settlement
- Mediation
- Arbitration
- Litigation
- Recovery proceedings

Support management in evaluating the legal position, potential recovery, financial exposure, cost of proceedings and available settlement options. 6. Evidence & Documentation Management

Establish proper documentation for disputes, including:

- Employment agreements
- NDAs
- Email correspondence
- Customer communications
- HR records
- Performance/disciplinary records
- Access and system records
- Project documentation
- Financial/recovery calculations
- Electronic evidence
- Witness documentation

Work with HR, IT and other departments to preserve relevant evidence. 7. Employment Documentation & HR Legal Support

Review and strengthen

- Employment agreements
- NDA/confidentiality agreements
- IP assignment provisions




- Non-solicitation provisions
- Contractor agreements
- Employee separation documentation
- Disciplinary processes
- Termination documentation
- Full-and-final settlement documentation
- Employee undertakings and declarations

Provide legal guidance to HR on sensitive employee matters. 8. External Counsel Management

Manage relationships with

- Litigation advocates
- Arbitration counsel
- Labour/employment lawyers
- Senior counsel and specialist law firms, where required

Responsibilities include preparing briefs, reviewing drafts, monitoring deadlines, managing professional fees and ensuring external counsel receives complete documentation. 9. Legal Case Management & Reporting

Maintain a centralized tracker covering:

Case Parties Issue Legal Position Evidence Financial Exposure External Counsel Hearing Date Deadline Current Status Next Action

Provide periodic updates to management covering:

- Active arbitration
- Litigation
- Employee disputes
- Legal notices
- Recovery matters
- Upcoming hearings
- Critical deadlines
- Financial exposure
- Legal expenses
- Settlement opportunities
- Key legal risks

Qualifications

- LL.B. from a recognized university – Mandatory
- Enrolment with a State Bar Council strongly preferred
- 8–12 years of relevant experience
- Solid experience in litigation and/or arbitration
- Experience handling employment-related disputes
- Excellent legal drafting skills
- Strong understanding of Indian Contract Law and Arbitration Law
- Experience coordinating with external advocates/law firms

Prior experience managing disputes for an IT services, software or technology company will be an advantage.
