About the Role

We are looking for a manager/senior manager—finance & accounts—to take end-to-end ownership of the finance and accounting function for a growing NBFC. The role is hands-on, with a focus on core accounting, financial controls, taxation, audits, and lending-related accounting.

The role offers an opportunity to work closely with senior management, auditors, tax advisors, lending partners, and internal teams, with potential growth into broader finance leadership.

Key Responsibilities & Skills

- Own GL, P&L;, balance sheet, monthly closing, provisions, accruals, fixed assets, and financial schedules .
- Manage bank, loan-book, partner, vendor, customer, and inter-company reconciliations .
- Handle accounting across the lending lifecycle, including disbursements, repayments, closures, top-ups, interest and fee income, and revenue recognition .
- Work on accounting for term loans, flexi loans, LAS, and LAMF .
- Reconcile loan management systems, banking records, and the general ledger .
- Oversee GST, TDS, income tax, advance tax, and statutory compliance .
- Coordinate with statutory, internal, and tax auditors and close audit observations.
- Prepare and review MIS, P&L;,



balance sheet, cash flow, and management reports .
- Support co-lending and lending partnership accounting and settlements .
- Develop SOPs, internal controls, maker-checker mechanisms, and finance processes .
- Identify opportunities for automation of reconciliations, reporting, and finance processes .
- Support management with financial reporting and business performance analysis .
- Build and manage the Finance & Accounts team as the organization grows.

Preferred Candidate

- Qualified CA with 5–10 years of relevant experience .
- Robust NBFC experience is mandatory , preferably within a small or mid-sized NBFC.
- Strong hands-on experience in accounting, P&L;, balance sheet, GL, reconciliations, monthly closing, and financial reporting .
- Good knowledge of GST, TDS, taxation, and audits .
- Practical understanding of NBFC lending operations and loan accounting .
- Experience reconciling loan books/lending systems with accounting records .
- Exposure to LAS, LAMF, secured lending, co-lending, or digital lending will be an advantage.
- Strong Excel, accounting-system, and analytical skills .
- Candidates who have helped build or streamline finance functions and processes will be preferred.
- Should be comfortable working in a hands-on and managerial capacity within a growing organization.
