Summary:
We are seeking a capable and experienced Senior Executive to join our Internship Team. This mid-level position will play a key role in leading the planning, coordination, and executing the internship program across the organization. The selected candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams, technical mentors, and interns to ensure smooth program delivery and consistent performance monitoring.
The ideal candidate will have experience acting as HRBP in Learning & Development or Training or Talent Development or HR functions complemented by experience in technical background. The role requires maturity, empathy, clarity in communication, and the ability to guide and support interns while maintaining professional standards and program discipline.
Position Overview:
The Senior Executive – Internship Program will lead the end-to-end internship journey, from onboarding and training to performance evaluation, project allocation, and conversion. The role will coordinate closely with technical teams, mentors, delivery managers, and interns to ensure effective program execution, engagement, and development. The position will also support continuous program improvement through performance tracking, reporting, stakeholder feedback, and process enhancement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Internship Planning & Execution - Collaborate with delivery teams to gather and validate intern requirements. Assist in planning the internship calendar, onboarding schedules, and training timelines. Oversee operational aspects of training execution, including logistics and participant readiness.
- Collaboration with Technical Team - Interact with subject matter experts to ensure training content and sessions meet program objectives. Collaborate with delivery to identify lead learning partners and technical mentors to facilitate the training for Interns. Support the development and delivery of structured technical and behavioural training programs.
- Intern Engagement & Performance Monitoring - Serve as a primary point of contact for interns for program-related guidance and queries. Conduct periodic check-ins to monitor progress, address concerns, and provide necessary support.
- Evaluation & Conversion Process - Maintain performance records and ensure timely feedback collection from mentors. Facilitate the evaluation process by consolidating feedback and performance metrics.
Participate in review discussions to support
- decision-making regarding full-time conversions. Ensure documentation and compliance with program standards during the evaluation cycle.
- Project Allocation & Post-Internship Support - Coordinate with delivery managers to align interns with suitable project assignments upon program completion. Monitor the progress of converted interns in their initial months and assist in resolving performance or adaptation issues.
- Program Improvement & Reporting - Analyze program outcomes and recommend process improvements to enhance program effectiveness. Prepare and present periodic reports, dashboards, and insights for leadership and stakeholders. Ensure documentation, standardization, and continuous refinement of internship processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technology, or a related technical discipline preferred.
- MBA Degree in Reputed Institutions. Certifications in Learning & Development, or Training Delivery are an advantage.
- 4–6 years of total experience, with initial experience in a technical role followed by experience in L&D; or Talent Development or Internship Program Management or HR Functions.
- Valuable understanding of technical training methodologies and early-career talent development practices.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey expectations clearly and professionally.
- Demonstrated ability to work with interns in a manner that is empathetic, structured, clear and firm where necessary.
- Proven experience in multi-stakeholder coordination and program administration.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
- Ability to operate effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
