About The Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior ETL QA / Data Warehouse Testing professional with 10+ years of experience in validating complex data integration, ETL pipelines, and data warehouse solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in ETL testing, SQL, data validation, data reconciliation, and end-to-end testing.

The candidate will work closely with data engineers, developers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to ensure data accuracy, completeness, consistency, and compliance with business requirements.

The role involves designing and executing comprehensive test strategies for ETL processes and data warehouse applications. The candidate will validate data across source and target systems, identify data discrepancies, perform root-cause analysis, and ensure that data transformation and business rules are implemented correctly.

Responsibilities

- Design and implement ETL testing strategies, test plans, scenarios, and test cases.
- Perform end-to-end testing of ETL pipelines and data warehouse solutions.
- Validate source-to-target data mappings and transformation rules.
- Develop complex SQL queries for data validation and reconciliation.
- Perform data completeness, accuracy, integrity, and consistency testing.
- Validate ETL workflows, jobs, mappings, and data loads.
- Execute functional, integration, regression, system, and end-to-end testing.
- Identify, document, track, and manage defects through resolution.
- Perform root-cause analysis of data discrepancies and production issues.
- Review business requirements, technical specifications, and source-to-target mapping documents.
- Collaborate with Data Engineers, Developers, Business Analysts, and Product Owners.
- Support release validation and production deployment activities.




- Mentor junior QA team members and provide technical guidance.
- Contribute to improving test automation and data quality processes.
- Prepare test execution reports and communicate testing status to stakeholders.

Required Skills

- 10+ years of experience in ETL Testing / Data Warehouse Testing.
- Strong expertise in SQL and database testing.
- Strong understanding of ETL processes and data warehousing concepts.
- Hands-on experience with source-to-target validation and data reconciliation.
- Experience testing complex data transformations and business rules.
- Strong experience in functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing.
- Experience in defect management and root-cause analysis.
- Ability to independently create test strategies and test plans.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

ETL Tools / Technologies Experience with one or more of the following is preferred:
- Informatica
- Talend
- SSIS
- DataStage
- Ab Initio

Database & Data Platforms Experience with databases or data platforms such as:
- Oracle
- SQL Server
- PostgreSQL
- Snowflake
- Teradata
- Other enterprise data warehouse platforms

Preferred Skills

- Experience with cloud data platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Experience with Python or ETL/data-testing automation.
- Exposure to CI/CD and DevOps practices.
- Experience with Jira, ALM, or similar defect-management tools.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Experience with data quality and data governance processes.
