Hiring: IT Applications Engineer – Developer Portal

We are looking for an experienced Developer Portal / IDP Architect to lead and shape an Internal Developer Platform (IDP) team. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience with Backstage, Harness, Python, APIs, DevOps and cloud technologies , along with the ability to guide and mentor engineering teams.

Experience - 10+ years

Location - Pune

? Key Responsibilities:

- Lead the IDP / Developer Portal team and provide technical direction and architectural guidance.
- Design and enhance developer portals using Backstage and Harness .
- Drive Python-based development and API integrations for internal developer platforms.
- Build and manage GitHub Actions workflows and DevOps automation.
- Work with cloud platforms such as Azure/AKS, OpenShift or GCP .
- Drive Infrastructure as Code using Terraform / Ansible .
- Ensure Linux environments and platform components are effectively managed.




- Collaborate on security governance and integrate security tools such as CyberArk / HashiCorp where required.
- Mentor team members and establish best practices across the IDP ecosystem.

? Required Skills:

- 10+ years of overall IT experience
- 2–3+ years of relevant experience in Developer Portal / IDP / Backstage
- Strong experience with Backstage / Harness
- Strong Python & API development experience
- DevOps & GitHub Actions
- Exposure to Cloud – AKS preferred; OCP / GCP also considered
- Strong understanding of Linux
- Terraform / Ansible – preferred
- Knowledge of AIDLC – preferred
- Exposure to CyberArk, HashiCorp or similar security tools – good to have
- Robust architecture, leadership, mentoring and stakeholder-management skills
