Role Summary

Responsible for reliable 24/7 Satcom operations, including Link Room, Teleport, satellite transmission/reception,feed connectivity and associated technical systems.

Key Responsibilities – Satcom

1. Handle Link Room operations, monitoring and coordination of incoming/outgoing feeds and live signals.
2. Handle Teleport operations, satellite uplink/downlink and RF signal monitoring.
3. Operate and troubleshoot Compression systems and RF/IP Encoder-Decoder Tx/Rx setups.
4. Handle CATV systems and NLD Fiber connectivity for A/V signals.
5. Configure and operate LiveU/TVU Backpack systems for live contribution.
6. Monitor and troubleshoot Satcom signal paths and equipment; perform routine preventive maintenance.
7. Coordinate with concerned departments, OEMs and service providers for technical support and fault resolution.

Additional Technical Exposure

1. Working knowledge of HD/3G-SDI and IP-based signal workflows relevant to feed and signal connectivity.
2.



Basic understanding of Video Router operation, Signal routing and automation systems.
3. Familiarity with Frame Synchronizers, Genlock and Video Synchronization systems.
4. Ability to troubleshoot signal-flow issues and coordinate with PCR/MCR teams when required.

Qualification & Experience

1. B.E./B.Tech. in Electronics & Communications or related field.
2. Minimum 4–5 years of hands-on experience in Satellite Communication.
3. Hands-on knowledge of Compression, CATV, Teleport, NLD Fiber, RF/IP Encoder-Decoders and LiveU/TVU
4. Backpack systems.

Key Skills

1. Strong troubleshooting and fault-isolation skills.
2. Ability to work in a 24/7 operational setting.
3. Good coordination and communication skills with internal teams, OEMs and service providers.
