1. 110/33 kV Power Transformer Testing

Responsible for testing, commissioning witness and reviewing:
- Winding resistance at all tap positions
- Transformer Turns Ratio (TTR) / voltage ratio
- Vector group verification
- Impedance voltage and load loss
- No-load loss and no-load current
- Insulation Resistance (IR) and PI
- Applied voltage / separate-source AC withstand test
- Induced overvoltage withstand test
- OLTC functional and operational testing
- CT ratio and polarity
- Magnetic balance test
- Marshalling Box and RTCC functional testing
- Capacitance and Tan Delta
- Transformer oil testing and DGA
- Oil pressure test
- SFRA testing
- Partial Discharge testing
- Temperature Rise Test
- Lightning Impulse Test
- Chopped-wave impulse test
- Neutral terminal impulse test
- Zero-sequence impedance test
- Transfer surge test
- Transformer noise-level measurement
- Review of transformer FAT and Type Test Reports

1. 110 kV GIS Testing & Commissioning

Responsible for testing, commissioning witness and reviewing:
- GIS visual and mechanical inspection
- Circuit Breaker timing and travel testing
- Contact resistance measurement
- Breaker close/trip coil testing
- Disconnector and Earthing Switch testing
- Mechanical and electrical interlock verification
- SF gas pressure, purity and moisture testing
- SF density monitor alarm/trip testing
- CT ratio, polarity and excitation testing
- VT/CVT testing
- GIS insulation resistance testing
- AC withstand / dielectric testing
- Partial Discharge testing
- GIS primary circuit resistance testing
- GIS LCC functional testing
- Local/Remote operation testing
- Protection, control, alarm and indication testing
- Trip Circuit Supervision testing
- Anti-pumping and breaker-failure functionality
- GIS enclosure earthing and bonding verification
- SCADA/SAS interface and point-to-point testing
- Final pre-energization checks and GIS energization support

1. Protection & Control Responsibilities

- Witness and review protection relay testing using OMICRON or equivalent test equipment.
- Witness and verify testing of Transformer Differential, REF, Overcurrent,



Earth Fault and Busbar Protection.
- Witness testing of Breaker Failure, Intertrip, Lockout and Trip Circuit Supervision schemes.
- Review protection relay settings against the approved protection coordination study and approved settings.
- Witness and verify trip matrix, functional logic and protection scheme testing.
- Verify protection interfaces between Power Transformer, 110 kV GIS, 33 kV Switchgear and Control Systems.
- Witness end-to-end protection testing, where applicable.
- Review test results and confirm compliance with the approved test procedure, acceptance criteria and project requirements.
- Review and comment on protection testing reports and ensure identified deficiencies are properly closed.

1. 33 kV Switchgear & Substation Equipment Responsibilities

- Witness and review testing of 33 kV VCBs, CTs, PTs and associated protection/control panels.
- Witness Circuit Breaker timing, contact resistance and functional testing.
- Witness primary and secondary injection testing, as applicable.
- Verify control circuits, interlocks, electrical/mechanical interlocks and operational logic.
- Witness AC/DC auxiliary system testing.
- Witness functional testing of battery and charger systems.
- Witness and review earthing system testing and verify test results against project requirements.
- Review test reports and verify compliance with approved procedures and acceptance criteria.
- Raise observations/non-conformances where test results or installation conditions do not meet the specified requirements.
- Track and verify closure of testing-related punch points.

1. Documentation & Reporting

- Review equipment test reports.
- Review OEM test reports and test certificates.
- Maintain commissioning checklists and records.




- Prepare punch lists and track closure.
- Review FAT/Type Test documentation.
- Maintain commissioning dossiers and handover documentation.
- Provide daily/weekly commissioning progress reports.

1. Coordination

The engineer will coordinate with:
- Client
- Consultant
- EPC Contractor
- GIS OEM
- Transformer OEM
- Protection Relay OEM
- Electrical Contractors
- Commissioning Teams
- Operations Team
