About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Data Mapping Engineer to support offshore cable installation and renewable energy projects. The role focuses on managing, analysing, and visualising offshore survey and geospatial data to support cable route engineering, seabed intervention planning, engineering studies, and offshore operations.

You will work closely with multidisciplinary project teams, installation specialists, clients, and other stakeholders in an international workplace.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage, validate, integrate, and interpret offshore survey and geospatial datasets.
- Develop and maintain GIS databases and spatial data repositories.
- Prepare charts, web maps, and geospatial visualisations for engineering studies, tenders, and offshore operations.
- Analyse seabed conditions and survey data to support offshore cable route engineering.
- Work with survey datasets including Multibeam Bathymetry, Side Scan Sonar, UXO surveys, and Sub-Bottom Profiler data.




- Support offshore engineering and cable installation projects with accurate geospatial information.
- Contribute to digitalisation initiatives, mapping standards, and data-driven engineering solutions.

Candidate Profile

- Degree in Geomatics, Hydrographic Survey, Survey Engineering, GIS, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in GIS, offshore surveying, hydrography, offshore cartography, or related marine engineering activities.
- Strong experience working with offshore survey and geospatial data.
- Knowledge of spatial databases and geospatial data management.
- Experience supporting offshore engineering or installation projects.
- Hands-on experience with ArcGIS Pro, AutoCAD, EIVA NaviModel, or AutoChart.
- Knowledge of Python will be an added advantage.
- Good communication skills with the ability to work in multidisciplinary and international teams.
