Role: SAP BDC Developer

About The Role We are seeking an SAP BDC Developer with strong expertise in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), SAP Datasphere, and SAP BDC . The role focuses on developing analytic applications, dashboards, KPI models, and governed data models to support data-driven decision-making. The ideal candidate will combine analytics, data integration, automation, and scripting skills to deliver scalable analytics solutions.

The role involves designing and delivering analytics solutions using SAP Analytics Cloud and SAP Datasphere , covering both import and live data scenarios. You will connect, model, and harmonize data from SAP and non-SAP sources while developing scalable and governed data models for reporting and advanced analytics.

You will also customize SAC applications using scripting, automate data processes, optimize application performance, and support predictive analytics and advanced visualization capabilities. Collaboration with technical and business teams will be required to deliver reliable analytics solutions aligned with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop analytic applications, interactive dashboards, and KPI models using SAP Analytics Cloud and SAP Datasphere.
- Connect, model, and harmonize data from SAP and non-SAP sources within SAP Datasphere.
- Build scalable and governed data models for analytics and reporting.
- Customize SAC applications using JavaScript and other scripting languages.
- Automate data processes in Datasphere to improve data utility and process efficiency.
- Optimize dashboard and application performance and identify potential bottlenecks.
- Implement predictive analytics, R visualizations, and external libraries to enhance analytics solutions.
- Integrate SAC and Datasphere with SAP HANA and other databases.




- Collaborate with stakeholders to support data-driven business objectives.

Required Skills

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a related field.
- Relevant experience in SAP SAC and SAP Datasphere.
- Strong experience designing and implementing SAC solutions for reporting and analytics.
- Hands-on experience with SAP Datasphere and SAP BDC for data management, integration, and automation.
- Advanced knowledge of SAC predictive features, Smart functionalities, story canvases, data blending, and linked analysis.
- Experience developing unified and governed data models in SAP Datasphere.
- Strong coding and scripting skills in SQL, Python, and JavaScript.
- Experience integrating SAC/Datasphere with SAP HANA and other databases.
- Knowledge of SAP HANA XSA, SAP Web IDE, Eclipse, HANA Studio, and Git.
- Strong understanding of relational database concepts and SQL.
- Experience with SAP BusinessObjects Data Services (BODS) is desirable.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum methodologies.
