Summary UST is looking for a Senior Cloud Software Engineer with expertise in cloud platform engineering, cloud-native application development, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), automation-first operations, and AI-powered CloudOps. The role will be responsible for designing, developing, governing, and optimizing enterprise-scale AWS and Azure environments while driving intelligent automation, self-healing operations, and AI-enabled cloud solutions.

The Opportunity As a Senior Cloud Software Engineer, you will play a critical role in building cloud-native platforms, automation frameworks, AI-enabled operational tooling, and enterprise-scale infrastructure solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, scalable, resilient, and cost-efficient cloud services while enabling platform standardization and engineering excellence.

Key Roles & Responsibilities Cloud Software Development

- Design, develop, test, and maintain cloud-native services and internal platforms using Python (FastAPI, Django, Flask).
- Build secure, scalable RESTful and event-driven APIs leveraging Azure and AWS cloud services.
- Develop reusable libraries, frameworks, and shared services to standardize cloud consumption and accelerate delivery.
- Apply clean architecture, SOLID principles, and enterprise design patterns to create resilient and maintainable solutions.
- Design solutions with scalability, observability, security, resilience, and cost optimization as key requirements.
- Develop automation tooling and cloud services supporting large-scale Azure and AWS environments.

AI, Generative AI & Agentic Engineering
- Design and implement AI-enabled cloud services, intelligent automation solutions, and operational tooling.
- Build and integrate Generative AI solutions using RAG, embeddings, vector search, prompt engineering, and context management.
- Design and orchestrate AI agents and multi-agent workflows for cloud operations, remediation, and engineering activities.
- Integrate AI agents with enterprise systems using MCP, tool-calling, and function-calling patterns.
- Implement guardrails, evaluation frameworks, observability, token controls, and Responsible AI practices.
- Ensure compliance with AI governance, privacy requirements, prompt injection protection,



and data security standards.

Intelligent CloudOps & AIOps
- Design and operate AI-driven CloudOps capabilities, including anomaly detection, predictive scaling, intelligent ing, and event correlation.
- Develop self-healing and automated remediation workflows to minimize manual intervention.
- Drive incident, problem, and change management improvements through automation and observability.
- Develop and maintain dashboards, monitoring solutions, and operational analytics frameworks.

Infrastructure as Code, DevOps & Automation
- Own the infrastructure lifecycle from design and deployment to optimization and decommissioning.
- Design and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code solutions using Terraform with modular and reusable standards.
- Implement governance controls, policy-as-code, and pre-deployment validation mechanisms.
- Build and manage CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or GitLab.
- Implement DevSecOps practices including automated scanning, dependency management, and secrets management.
- Enforce engineering standards through code reviews, version control, and automated validation.

Agile Delivery
- Participate in sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, and sprint reviews.
- Collaborate with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, architects, and engineering teams.
- Break down platform initiatives into user stories and backlog items with transparent acceptance criteria.
- Support continuous improvement and iterative delivery practices.

Experience What you need:

- 6+ years of experience in Infrastructure Engineering, Cloud Engineering, or Cloud Development.
- Hands-on experience designing and operating enterprise-scale AWS and Azure environments.
- Experience delivering AI/ML, Generative AI, or AI-enabled solutions in production environments.
- Strong background in cloud-native development, platform engineering, DevOps, and automation.
- Experience designing or integrating Agentic AI and LLM-based solutions is preferred.

Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
