Permaculture Specialist / Designer

Position Overview
A Permaculture Specialist creates self-sustaining, regenerative human habitats and agricultural systems. Applying core ethics—Earth Care, People Care, and Fair Share—they blend ecological principles, traditional knowledge, and up-to-date tech to design functional landscapes that conserve resources, enhance biodiversity, and yield sustainable resources.

Key Responsibilities
Site Assessment & Mapping: Analyze topography, microclimates, soil conditions, water flow, and biodiversity using GIS mapping, CAD, and hands-on observation. ZipRecruiter
System Design: Develop comprehensive designs for food forests, zone plans, swales, earthworks, and integrated pest management systems. In the Moment x
Water & Soil Management: Implement rainwater harvesting, greywater reuse systems, erosion control, and soil regeneration strategies (composting, cover cropping). Kaplan Community Career Center
Client & Community Engagement: Collaborate with clients, urban planners, and local communities to tailor regenerative land-use solutions.

Key Qualifications
Education: Degree in Environmental Science, Agriculture, Agroecology, Landscape Architecture, or a related field. kaplan.com

Technical Skills: Proficiency in drafting/mapping software (QGIS, AutoCAD, SketchUp) and soil/water management techniques. ZipRecruiter
Experience: Hands-on experience in organic farming, agroforestry, nursery management, or earthmoving machinery operations.

Job Type: Full time

Pay: ₹15,080.56 - ₹30,000.00 per month
